  1. I went to AK for just the last two hours before it closed tonight - there were only two things I wanted to do there tonight, and going to the Nomad Lounge was one of them. The Nomad Lounge is adjacent to Tiffins, and neither of them were busy tonight. It was a lovely night to sit outside so that's what I did. I perused the menu, and although my server offered me the option to have any of the appetizers off the Tiffins menu, I opted to get two things from the Nomad menu. I started with the Snow Leopard Salvation. i expected this to be a bit more mint-y like a mojito, bu

  2. I did a quick online search for bears at fort wilderness. And clicked on images and this popped up. Lol. http://s1305.photobucket.com/user/H2odivers/media/IMG_1586_zpsyqmsiklo.png.html][/URL]

  3. Today was my first time going to Skipper Canteen - I went for lunch. Since you can now get alcohol here, I figured I'd have a beer. I liked the notion of the souvenir mug (you can buy it separately from the drinks that are featured with it)... until she brought me one and I saw it was a thin metal that wouldn't be suitable at all for hot drinks. I ended up not getting it. They start you off with "Ethopian celebration bread" with honey. The honey was nice but the bread didn't seem very fresh. I didn't eat much of it unfortunately. Instead of getting an entree I thought

  4. You can call Disney reservations and have them set up a "Travel With" number and request that you be placed as close together as possible. All locations are just request. They never guarantee anything, but will do their best depending on how full the Fort is. There are many grocery delivery services that provide good service to the cabins and resorts at Disney. Wegoshop.com gardengrocer.com (Those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head).

  5. We were there on December 30th and stopped by for an afternoon snack. There were 4 adults and 2 kids so we ordered a few items off of the small plate menu. African-spiced wagyu beef sliders charcuterie board artisanal cheeses and my favorite, tiffins bread service. It came with some wonderful dipping sides. Pomegranate olive oil, blacked eyed pea hummus and a couple of yogurt based sauces. All were yummy. Its a greatbplace to sit down and have a cold beer and a few great apps. It was surprisingly not crowded even though AK was very crowded. I don

  6. I have seen many people repeat that 2 tent per site rule, but I don't think that is really a rule. I've seen Disney set up three rental tents on one site. One RV per site is a rule, per this "love note" used by the Fort Rangers. But, there is no place on there for them to cite anyone for having more than two tents: This is the most current printed set of rules that I have- it only says that all of your equipment has to fit on the pad (except your dining structure, which can be 10' from the site), and no more than two cars per site: TCD

  8. Got into Spice Road Table without much wait and without an ADR yesterday at around 7 pm. I wish I had someone with me so I could have ordered a few more things to share. In the end I just got the lamb sausages. They had some nice spice to them and they hit the spot. They were served with a little tomato salad which was a nice contrast to the meat. I can't find my receipt for this right now but I'm pretty sure they offered an AP discount here.

  9. I went to the Lunching Pad today for the first time since the cream cheese pretzels were removed and then came back. Ordered my usual frozen Coke and this time it came with a Mickey straw. I don't remember how much a frozen Coke was the last time I got one, but let's assume that since you now get a Mickey straw that the price went up. Pretzel was $4.79 and frozen Coke was $4.69.
