  1. The short version is, rates went up an average of 8.3% across all site types. I have updated my Fort Rate Calc spreadsheet to include 2018 pricing. It is available here (click me). Obviously, the 2018 rates are included in the spreadsheet, so if you just want to see those they are in the Rate Lookup tab. Rates include 12.5% tax. This was the easiest way I could think to share the data, but if you'd like it in some other form, just let me know.

  2. I agree, Epcot is a must for us. After rushing around the other parks we look forward to just walking and relaxing in Epcot. WBI

    Is the magic gone?

I have to disagree on your friends saying to skip Epcot next time. Everyone has a choice or an opinion and ours is that Epcot is our favorite park. I will agree, they have no idea what future world is or what it's going to be but the world showcase is a gem all by itself. You are right about thrill seekers. If you're going to pay upwards near $125 for a one day ticket, you want more than French pastries and Ellen yelling "stupid Judy" from the 90s in universe of energy. We were over the MK with the crowds and actually my kids were also. I guess with our AP it's nice to walk Epcot and have din

  4. Alcoholic drinks have always been part of the 3000 loop dining plan. In fact, if you choose the soft drink option, it costs more.

  5. Interesting thread. I think every Disney fan often asks "is it worth it?" I know that I do. I've been lucky to have visited WDW from the time it was just the MK and a few hotels all the way up to now. Has the quality declined? No question, it absolutely has. Are the prices to high? Of course they are. You definitely get less bang for the buck than you used to. Are there Cast Members who should be working somewhere else? Absolutely. Has inept management wrecked some things at the Fort? Heck yes.I could make a long list of things that are gone that used to be very fun and enjoy

  6. We're on our 3rd weeklong trip this year. I haven't encountered any rude cast members, but there's been plenty of examples of rude guests. I chalk that up to general decline of society and cultural differences of some people. I don't let that bother me. I think the maintenance issue is now based on how long a ride has been operating since a refurb. I think in the past they did more repairs at night now they seem to patch it up and wait for the long return. I don't like that. It reminds me of six flags.
