Reading this is really making my cabin fever worse. We used to do what my BIL calls a hobo pack. It was similar to the #15 but was more like a meatloaf slice with potatoes and green beans around it. We have started getting into the cast iron over the campfire the past 2 years. Made some really good pot roast a few times. Wanting to try chili when we are able to get back out.

I need to try that.  We've always done potatoes and/or veg that way, but I never thought to just throw the meat in too.
