TN/MO recommendations

Memorial Day weekend (we'll leave the Friday before) we're driving to Branson, MO.  We'll drive through Chattanooga and around through Franklin, TN.  Our hope is to get somewhere near Willow Springs, MO to stop for the night.

Any suggestions on a safe (and easy) place to stop for the night?  We'll look for a Walmart as we only need to stop to sleep for a few hours; we're really trying to be in Branson, unhitched and set up, by lunch.

According to the Allstays app, the Walmarts in Mountainview, MO, West Plains, MO, and Mountain Grove, MO are all "Ask to Park". You might look them up and call ahead of time.

Once you get into Springfield, there are more options but they are hit or miss with allowing overnight parking. We stayed at a park called Double J Campground right off of the highway. But it definitely wasn't free ($40/night) for a long level pull through.
