All-New Holiday Nighttime Spectacular “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort

Great garland – Santa Claus is missing!

And the search-and-rescue mission to get The Big Guy back to the North Pole in time for Christmas Eve is all part of the fun in the all-new “Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!” holiday spectacular coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios November 14. The show comes to life on, above and around the Chinese Theater with state-of-the-art projections, special effects, fireworks and a rousing seasonal musical score.

Led by elves Wayne and Lanny, the duo from ABC/Walt Disney Animation Studios’ animated special “Prep & Landing,” the spirited yuletide adventure to the North Pole features memorable holiday moments from Disney films including “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” “Bambi,” Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and more, all building to a festive finale that’s “So tinsel!”

And did I mention there will be snow?

A sweet way to enjoy this new holiday spectacular is with the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Holiday Dessert Party, which includes reserved viewing, desserts, specialty beverages and more. Each dessert party guest will get a pair of 3D HoloSpex® glasses to use while watching the show. The glasses create spectacular holographic illusions of gingerbread men, candy canes, snowflakes and ornaments on any bright point of light.

Memorable, heartwarming, and enchanting for the entire family these one-of-a-kind holiday experiences will dazzle Disney’s Hollywood Studio guests through December 31.

What holiday experiences are you most looking forward to at Disney Parks?

Well poop. I wonder if we won't get any fireworks for our trip?

Rumor has it they are prepping some Rouge One things to add on to the show for when ti comes back after the holidays. I expect there will be a down time though between so you may not.

Looks pretty cool.  I hope they do enough shows to keep the crowds manageable.  With Osborn lights being on all night it helped spread the crowd out some.

That's a good point.  If they only offer one show a night, which it looks like what they are planning to do, that's going to be tough.  This will be a situation where unless you shell out big bucks for the dessert party, you're going to have to stake out a spot an hour and a half or more before the show.  One problem with these projection shows is that the fireworks are only a small part of the show, and you need a clear view of the theater buildings to see all of the effects.

I expect it will be back in the new year but I figure it will be down for a few days while they make the switch over in Fireworks and other aspects.

I thought the same but have heard differently. Is there a break scheduled between Star Wars and the new show?

Tucked int eh comments on the Disney Parks Blog post was this response to the questions of what was happening with Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! will be presented nightly starting November 14 until December 31. On New Year’s Eve, Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will also be presented. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will resume nightly starting January 1.

Good catch, Jason.

It's interesting that the technology is such that they can perform two different shows on the same night.

Obviously, this also means that they could perform the JBJB multiple times in the same evening.  I wonder if that's what they're planning for the holiday crowds?

Being able to do the front part of the show meanin the projections, lasers, and pyro effects doesn't surprise me. It's the fireworks. I wonder if they just use the same launch settings for both for the fireworks and just change the timing?

I agree.  I was under the impression that for safety reasons, they can't/won't set up two fireworks shows to take place at the same park on the same evening.

But, they built that new launch site for the DHS fireworks, and maybe they built it to handle multiple fireworks shows on the same night.  Or, the type of fireworks they use in these shows are different from what they use for Wishes and Illuminations.

They really need to do something about the trees. I watched a few clips on Instagram and the trees were in the way in almost every clip.

Agreed. WHen we went to the Star Wars ones we had a pretty good view of everything. Except the dead center of the Great Movie Ride where all the best action takes place. Got there too late for better and had people on ECV's had to pick the best we could find.
