I'm curious about some things regarding this resort.  First, will people not staying there be able to resort hop to check it out?  I would like to think that answer is no, as a bunch of schmucks in jorts and flip flops would kind of spoil the immersive feel of being on Coruscant or Tatooine, or on a Star Destroyer.  Also, will the resort have a pool?  Again, this would seem to go against the theming, but perhaps it could be a really cool pool, with a hot tub resembling a bacta tank.

I think they’ll let them resort hop. I imagine the resorts going to be a vacation destination in space. So they’ll be lots of people and flip-flops and jorts there.  As well as people dressed in costumes. I’m willing to bet you there’s gonna be lots of parents who will not be dressing up at the resort and kids that will be. And vice versa.

It would be easy for them to have a pool. It could be an indoor pool, under a dome. Or a pool surrounded by high walls. It could be an indoor pool, under a dome. Or an outdoor pool surrounded by high walls.

Will there be a spa?  I'm hoping for Jabba's Backyard Massage Parlor and Casino, staffed with masseuses in Slave Leia outfits.

Maybe they can pull off something like the Hogwarts Express at Universal.

The thought of a pedestrian bridge is incredibly underwhelming, especially when compared to the speculation earlier in this thread of something along the lines of Hogwarts Express.

That’s exactly what I was thinking.

If the resort only has views of space, they can put the resort anywhere they want. They can put it over by animal Kingdom Lodge  if they want. And transport guests via space shuttle to Star Wars land.

This what I was thinking as well. I envision a spaceport where the guests board a shuttle flight and are dropped off inside Star Wars Land.

That would be cool.

I don't think it'll be as elaborate as some of you are imagining. Here's what we think we know:

The entire resort will resemble a star ship.

It will be very expensive.

Buffet breakfasts, lunches, and evening dining are included.

Exclusive park admission into Galaxy's Edge.

Amenities include a pool area, water garden, fitness area and cantina.

Stays are two days long. It may be operate on a limited schedule.

Due to the two day 100% immersive experience, resort hopping is unlikely.

All indications point to it being adjacent to Galaxy's Edge.

It appears that due to the closeness of the resort to the park, a pedestrian bridge will probably connect the two.

Two days makes sense. It would get boring after that. In fact, I think I'd be bored before the first day was over. There are going to be two rides in Galaxy's Edge. Guests will ride those, look around the fake village, eat a burger with a black bun. Then what? Walk over the bridge back to the resort to look at the video projections on their fake window?

And a pedestrian bridge? Classic. I guess if a bridge can take us to a moon of Pandora years in the future, it can also take us to a space station.

A pedestrian bridge is well, pedestrian. If they don't want to go for the full effect couldn't they build a People Mover? At least it is somewhat futuristic compared to a pedestrian bridge. I'm thinking Disney needs to hire some of the Universal creative people that worked on the Harry Potter stuff.

I've been working at DHS a lot lately, mostly at the SW dessert party, and yes, I have to wear a silly Star Wars themed costume and often have to carry a Light Saber when escorting guests to the Center Stage area for the show. Hopefully there are no photos

Now why did this scene come to mind immediately.....?    ;)

Keep in mind that some of those elements are confirmed and some are guesses and rumors. The bridge is in the latter.

Not a bad idea.

Except for the costume, pretty close. Funny stuff, love Bob Newhart

The first six items and the fact that it's going to be built.

Thanks. With all wishful thinking I wasn’t sure what was real and what was a rumor.  Can you eleborate on the facts?

I cant wait to see how they make a hotel resemble a star ship.  Have they said what type of ship it will be?

I kind of figured it would be expensive.

So will guests have to go back to the hotel for every meal or will they be able to get their included meal at the park?  Breakfast would be easy to have at the resort. But lunch and dinner might be a pain if they had to leave the park and go back to the resort to eat.

Exclusive admission?  Will the park be available to resort guests only?

Will the pool area be indoors?  My guess is that it would be since we will be on a ship.

So guest can only stay for two days or you’ll have to book it for 2 days at a time?

It wouldn't surprise me if they have resort only special magic hours.

That won’t surprise me either.

I wonder if they will allow resort guest only in SW land and the rest of he park open to everyone else.   They have a big gate at SW land right now. And it would be easy for them to close the gate to non resort guests.

^This^

Or if it's just a plain 'ol pedestrian bridge, they could still put high walls on it with either projections (a la Hogwarts Express) or.... something that doesn't break/ruin the experience.

Have they said what type of ship it will be? ALL I'VE READ IS THAT IT'S A STAR SHIP. CHECK OUT THE DISNEY PARKS BLOG FOR A FEW RENDERINGS.

But lunch and dinner might be a pain if they had to leave the park and go back to the resort to eat. I SUSPECT GUESTS WILL BE SPENDING A FAIR AMOUNT OF TIME AT THE RESORT. THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE PAYING THE BIG BUCKS FOR. KINDA LIKE THE  CRUISE SHIP EXPERIENCE.

Exclusive admission?  Will the park be available to resort guests only?  IT'LL PROBABLY BE DURING PARK CLOSE.

Will the pool area be indoors?  My guess is that it would be since we will be on a ship. DIDN'T READ ANY FURTHER DETAILS.

So guest can only stay for two days or you’ll have to book it for 2 days at a time? I WOULD IMAGINE THEY CAN BOOK MORE THAN TWO DAYS AND THAT THEY'LL OFFER MORE THAN ONE EXPERIENCE.

For an extra $100 they take you down a different passageway so you can bypass the Moons of Endor

Travisma could have, and should have, taken the lead from Dave's post and posted a photo of slave Leia, but what does he do? Missed opportunity. I'm wondering how he got that photo of Dave, or is that Bob?

Ready for a rub down?

Image result for slave leia

But these pictures are all over the interweb, figured anyone over the age of 6 has seen them thousands of times, but the Moons of Endor.... they are rarer!

I won't quote the picture. One is enough. Congratulations you have successfully made me lose my appetite. I should have known better than to browse the forums before dinner.

I noticed the entrance when we were there last week. I suspect they will close the gates and have an early close to that area of HS. It wouldn't surprise me if they magic band the people like they do for Extra Magic Hours to ensure they are from the resort.

I was bored and reading some Disney fan sites and found a couple that are reporting that the new SW hotel will run $900-$1,000 per person for two nights.  Double occupancy of course. Has anyone seen any reliable reports about costs?

I have seen absolutely nothing credible. All just a guessing game at this point. Since they havent even announced an opening date yet I would be surprised to see accurate pricing for a while yet.

With that said that pricing wouldnt surprise me at all.

So that's $450-500 a night per guest. That's cheaper than a Disney Cruise. I think they will start out a little higher than that.
