Our 1989 Trips - Pics from the Past

Recommended Posts

I recently found our 1989 pics and had a blast going through them. Wanted to share some of them with you all!

We were at the fort in August 1989. It looked considerably different back then!

Matthew, our youngest, would kill me for doing this, but in honor of his 31st birthday today here he is in 1989:

Okay, I could kick myself for not doing any journaling back then. Anyone know where the following pics were taken? I'm assuming they are in Future World. Apparently it is somewhere we ate, the characters performed, and then came around for autographs.

David hasn't aged a bit, has he? Yeah, right. And you will see laughable pics of me later. Have to do a lot more scanning.

These are great photos Gwen! I definitely remember Mickey's Birthdayland. They used to have Birthday cupcakes which my dad LOVED. And he's none to happy about 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea closing either. It's been many years and he still isn't over it.

The old Epcot photos with Micky and Minnie in their futuristic garb are priceless.

Good times. Now I am feeling nostalgic....

Oh wow - these are so great, thanks for sharing Gwen!!

One thing that stood out for me was the skyway. I hadn't thought about it before, but being up that high you could easily see a bunch of the ride buildings behind the facades. Seems odd that Disney ever wanted anyone too see that.

Those pictures are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing!! My first trip to WDW was in 1998 - so I am a newbie. It's fun to see those pics from '89 - but I do remember the hairstyles and sunglasses!
