Fort Wilderness features a lovely stretch of white sand beach along Bay Lake. Equipped with loungers as well as tables and chairs setup along the dockside, the beach is a great place to relax and soak up some sun while the kids build sandcastles, or have a picnic while watching the sunset.
At night you can view the Wishes! fireworks from the Magic Kingdom park from the beach as well. You will not be able to see the lower portions of the show directly in front of Cinderella’s Castle, but you’ll have a good view of the high-in-the-sky pyrotechnics. The music of Wishes! is piped into the beach area as well.
NOTE: Swimming is not allowed in any of the lakes on Walt Disney World property.
Electrical Water Pageant
The longest running parade in any Disney park, the nightly show generally takes place at 9:45 and the beach is
your front row seat! This Disney classic is a lighted parade on the water, completed with musical score and a
rousing patriotic finish.
