  1. Well, my fine Fiends, it’s time for me to begin this trip report. The DaveInTN gang just got home from spending a wonderful Thanksgiving at the Fort. And what a great trip we had! 10 nights at our favorite place on the planet, beautiful Fort Wilderness. I’m excited to share with you all everything we did, everything we ate, and everyone we visited with. But a word of warning to y’all…we did not plan any park days on this trip. Our plan was to relax, spend time with Fiends, and bring our little Anna to the Fort for the first time. Oh, and to EAT. If you live for park pics, or if you don

Here is a photo of the front of the new men's t-shirt: And the back: And, as a free bonus, here's a photo of the very first man to purchase one of the new t-shirts: There you go. I have acquired many Fort Wilderness t-shirts over the years. This one is my favorite! TCD

  7. We too, use the small can under the sink for garbage and take it out daily, since the hot water heater is also under the sink. Ugg! Also there are just the 2 of us, unless the grandkids are with us, and my theory of putting things back after you are finished with them especially applies to living in the RV. Also, we have 2 dogs with us, but we deal with dog hairs at home with spot vacuuming every other day. Hey, we have been married for 48 years this year and so realize that a "spotless" house is worth what ? Enjoy this vacation and have a major cleaning project when you get home. Life is sho

  8. Just remember that you can save space by using your underwear 4 times before you wash it. Just remember to rotate it inside out and back to front.

  9. Okay, I'll also take the time to admit that not ALL of the stuff we took out of the il camper went back into the new. My garage has a pile of to-go-through stuff! Now, on the day we actually PACK for a trip, the family knows beat to let me enjoy stacking in the cereal boxes just so and making the most out I our fridge space. Yup, we're a sick (but happy) breed!

  10. I know you all will think I'm crazy for keeping this list but here it goes. 10- This is an extremely helpful website- http://www.lovetheoutdoors.com/camping/Tips/Tips_and_Advice.htm BEDDING & BATH (SLEEPING) Bedding- sheets (we use sheets because it’s usually too hot for sleeping bags) -blankets- (we use old down comforters-it’s lightweight) -Pillows!! -Extra blankets-winter/spring months -I keep these stored in the camper in plastic Ziploc XL bags or the clear zip up kind found @ Wal-Mart in the ironing board section (store with a used dryer sheet to keep the bedding from smelling must

  11. Everyone has given you great ideas. The one thing I did during our first few trips was have a small notebook, because inevitably just when you think you have it all, when you go to cook you've forgotten something. When that happens, you can jot it down and get it when you get back.

  14. Ok this should do it Attaching the inner tent. So easy. The floor is attached to each inner tent. Each with a screen door or privacy door too. All attached. Last step to attach the floor tarp inside. Hook and loop all around. This was the hardest part. Ready to sleep, will easily fit a double air bed in each with room to spare. She picked her room! Matt and my biggest helper! Plenty of room for him to stand. Plenty of room to walk around!! Room for 7 plus. All packed up and ready to put up anouther day :D. The ground tarp is not in the bag. The poles are in a box.
