  1. Google Translate says: "saca tu culo de la calle o te atropellado!". Of course, :argh: is the universal language.
  2. Tomorrow's headline: "MAYOR OF FORT WILDERNESS PROPOSES 'FINAL SOLUTION' FOR TENT CAMPERS" :rofl2:
  3. Try forcing a refresh on the new home page (by hitting shift-f5), and then clicking on the "view full article" link. If you're refreshing the wrong link (which is probably what's happening), it's never gonna work. :)
  4. Refresh the page and try again- I'm still trying to learn how to drive this thing. It should be working now- I was having that problem a few minutes ago too, but I did some :techno: and it should work now.
  5. Congratulations, Karla! You might have noticed the "promoted to front page" link in your original post- it goes to the new front page of the site! We'll be able to highlight :siren: BREAKING NEWS :siren: like this very easily going forward. The idea here is to highlight the great posts and great posters we have here, and also to serve as a news source of sorts for all things Fort-related. Thanks for the great pics and the news tip- you guys are awesome, and you make it really easy for this site to be awesome. I couldn't do it alone, that's for sure.   Hey, a thought, com

  8. This video shows how to create a latest topics block, showing the full post, and then adding that block to a new page.
  9. This video shows off some of the user interface you can expect to see in the article management area of the ACP.
  10. Learn how to use the new "Promote to Article" feature to copy a post to the articles section.
  11. Anyone can look at the members list above, and sort by post count. But I don't feel warm and fuzzy about "calling out" specific people to post. I'd rather we make them feel welcome enough to post on their own, and I'm not sure that "HEY YOU! GET TO POSTIN'!" is the best way to achieve that goal. Having said that, we do Love All, Serve All here- if you're a fan of the Fort, or of TCD's trip reports, or of Norm's photography, or of Stacktester's shenanigans- there's a place for you here! We'd love to get to know you better!
  12. I can't ignore the number flags. They're there, aren't they? Gotta figure it all out. Looking at the flags from this direction (which we're meant to do, I guess, because the alphabet flags spell "DOCKSIDE DINER" correctly this way), we get: 782562896354 I don't have any idea what this means. Surely the imagineers are telling us something. Next time we're at the Studios, I'll have to investigate this further. Maybe it's the combination to the safe inside the diner or something.
  13. Let me just check the toteboard for Points Distributed: Fort Fiends : 0 Hm... Might be broken. How about the Members Banned totals? Fort Fiends : 0 What could be the problem, I wonder? Oh, I remember. We don't roll like that around here, that's why. :) All fiends are welcome!
  14. My favorite part of this picture is the bumper sticker. This must be the Obvious family's campsite.
  15. I continue to be astounded at the decisions being made "over there." Speaking for myself, I have no desire to be hostile to anyone. The success of our site is entirely independent of the success of theirs, so I do not need to feel any sort of hostility to people who post links to their site. But if they want to continue driving people our way while also reducing their own population, well, I certainly can't complain about that. In fact, I thank them for the extra traffic. It's like it says in my sig:
  16. It's up, but somehow that particular word wasn't being filtered. You can drop f bombs all you gently caressing want to now. :)
  17. Welcome back, TCD! I'm going to see what I can do about the photo limitation for you, hopefully before your next post. Edit: The maximum number of images in a post is now 30. I think that should be a good number for now- if you need more, let me know.
  18. I can confirm this. Also: Ever noticed the names of the boats that run on the Green Flag route? There's the Bon Voyage, the Castaways, and the Mermaid I. Ever wonder where the Mermaid II is? Well, they haven't built it yet. The Bon Voyage and Castaways boats were built for Fort Wilderness. The Mermaid I was the first of two planned boats that were to be built for the Wilderness Lodge- that way, the Fort would have its fleet of two boats, and the Lodge would have its own pair of boats. But for whatever reason ($$$$), they never built the second boat for the Lodge. The Mermaid I, since it was th
  19. I believe post counts will be retained. I'm pretty sure respect count will, sadly, be lost. I'm going to try to save it, but it's not worth keeping the site down for.
  20. I'll give you full credit, you don't have to show your work :)
  21. Well, if here isn't here, then it'll tell you when here gets back. Or how to get here, if here moves slightly. Also, it's a long-standing Twitter tradition to post pictures of what you're about to eat. Don't ask me why, it just is. Also, "long-standing", when applied to the Internet, means at least 15 minutes old. I just tweeted, which is apparently a verb now. ("twittered?" "Twote?" I dunno.) So if you're following @FortFiends, then you know that already. Oh and here's a link: http://www.twitter.com/FortFiends
  22. Little blue birds and snarky purple flamingos are pleased to announce a strategic alliance today! If you don't know what Twitter is, well, congratulations. You've successfully evaded the March of Technological Progress. :o If you do, you'll be pleased to know that we have an official Fort Fiends twitter account, @FortFiends. We'll be using it to keep in touch with everyone as we transition to new hosting, and we'll also use it when we're at the Fort itself. Give us a follow!
  23. Didn't they add 15 sites to the 600 loop when they extended it a year or two back? That'd account for the discrepancy.
  24. I have to tell you- after the wedding of AT&T and T-Mobile, there will be no reception.
  25. I am reading this thread thinking it's one of those wacky Facebook things where how you like your hotdog is somehow related to intrapersonal bedroom activities. Conclusion: You're all perverts.
