Man you guys are good. So I asked her this morning if they have her gift cards in return for not cleaning the room. She answered yes. They each, mom and her room mate, received $60 total. Mom then what are you complaining about!?! I didn't verify the map price but I am certain, because they were at Epcot, that is was the Remy map she saw. If Disney started charging for maps that would be a big announcement. I do see a day when maps will no longer be provided and everything will be found using your phone.

My mom sent me this text today. "Went to Epcot today. Hollywood studios tomorrow. There is so much construction going on. Interesting how Disney is starting to make you pay for everything. Parking. If I want my room cleaned I have to pay 10.00. They will give me towels and take out the trash after I bag it. If you want to get a map of the parks, the one I saw at Epcot cost 4.99. Unbelievable. Things are changing. Very hot. Heat index, is 105" I knew about parking but was surprised by everything else. Can anyone confirm?

For those interested, Mickey Views on YouTube has posted a video discussing plans for the new River Country Resort. I can't figure out how to link to the channel. If your interested, search for Mickey Views on YouTube. Once on his channel, go to Videos and scroll down. He posted the video 3 months ago. I personally am hoping Disney does this right and maintains the unique features of the Fort and Wilderness Lodge. It will be a very tight squeeze for sure. I am concerned about the influx of people into the Fort area. Right now the Fort takes a bit to get to. With a new 1,300 plus room res

We again were on our way to Florida. As we were traveling through TN, "stupid google" said there was an accident up ahead and we should divert our current path. My husband looked at the suggested route and said it would save us possible hours. It looked like an easy route so we took the chance, along with 20 or more other cars. The route took us through a small town where a bunch of good o boys were standing around a few diesel trucks with Confederate flags waving above them. Now our new camper came equipped with an awesome new horn that plays Dixie Land. With a grin I told my family to watch

Last year we planned to spend a few days at the beach before checking into the Fort. We stayed at a place called Coral Sands RV resort in Ormond beach. As we came into Lake City headed to Jacksonville, Maps rerouted us onto a shorter route. I was not the navigator at this point and my husband and hadn't noticed the change. Anyway, at some point Maps told us to exit off the main highway we were on and make a sharp left. The exit didn't look major and I began to get nervous. The sharp left turned us onto a very beautiful tree lined road. We saw a sign, about 100 feet in from the turn that said.

No reservations?

I think it really depends on when you arrive. We have extended stays for up to 4 days the week before Christmas. We had friends call at the last minute and got a few days early in October. There have always been empty sites whenever we have stayed. That being said, I think the best bet to getting a last minute campsite is to only plan for a 2 or 3 day stay during the week. -
I saw some folks wearing the pumpkin hats at Disneyland. Wonder if they have the adult sizes else where at Didneyworld or the people so saw wearing them had tiny heads.

Following along. Your beginning brings back lots of memories of our tent camping adventures. We loved tent camping but the trip our friend let us use his pup was the weekend I would never tent camp again.

How cute would it be to have a Wilderness Explores Club at the Fort. Kids could go on scavenger hunts, build craft projects, do service projects, etc to earn badges. You save your badges and add to them on each trip. Along with the pool party where the kids play games, there could be Explorer Club meetings where something similar takes place. There could even be a meet and greet with the UP characters, or just have them at the camp fire with Chip and Dale.

We are just camping at the Fort this year and have zero plans for Park visits. We have talked about doing this for years and are excited to just relax and enjoy the Fort. I know you used to be able to order wood from the meadows years ago but wasn't sure this was still an option? Anyone have an answer? Also how much wood do you get for how much $$$.

I saw a video showing the new bypass and was really confused. It looks nice and will hopefully make thing flow nicer. Thanks for explaining this. -
Last year I got a Double Chocolate Chip Frappachino from Starbucks. I was so excited to enjoy my drink while my husband took all the kids on a ride. That enjoyment came to an end with the paper straw. Within minutes it was soggy and I couldn't suck up the yumminess. Major fail, decided I would always carry my reusable straw after that.
