  1. Hey folks! My family invaded FW this summer, as some members have done since the year it opened. I have a brother-in-law who likes to collect Fort Wilderness coffee mugs and get a new one each time the design changes. The trading posts were all sold out during our trip. I'm searching online now for them as a Christmas present, but the only ones I can find online are at least a year or two old. Does anyone have a "current" FW coffee mug? Can you tell me what it looks like? Does anyone know where I could buy one online? Thanks in advance!
  2. Yeah, we can't wait! We all grew up biking around Fort Wilderness as kids in the 80s and 90s, and now we're bringing our kids back. In fact, 2 of the grandparents going were at the Fort the year it opened. It's going to be great!
  3. Are any of you kind folks at the Fort right now? Could we get a posting of the June movie schedule? I'm headed to the cabins in late June with a large family group (36 of us across 9 cabins). There are a lot of little kids looking forward to seeing what movies will be playing at the campfire! Thanks!
  4. Hey guys, can anyone confirm if Vinylmation characters are sold at the Trading Posts? I haven't really paid much attention to them before, so I haven't noticed in my last few trips if they're sold in FW. This upcoming trip, though, I arrive a few hours before my brother-in-law (on his birthday), who's a big fan of the little things. I was wondering if I could stroll over to a Trading Post to have a bday present waiting for him, or if I'll need to hot-foot it to Downtown Disney or somewhere else. Thanks!
  5. Guys, thanks so much for the responses. Good find, Brady, on West Orange. And I like the Goodwill idea, Tom. This is also our first trip with a kiddo (15 month-old), so it's gonna be a whole new experience. Hopefully, for the most part, in a really good way.
  6. Thanks for being so welcoming, guys! There are some great tips here. My trip is March 14-21. I'm bringing along the in-laws for their first FW experience. They're Disney vets, but this is the first time my wife and I have convinced them to try out FW. I like the thought of buying a couple of bikes at WalMart and leaving a numbered lock that the next FF'er could use. I'll have to consider that. I'll be sure to post about it if I go that route. A lot of vacation destinations in Florida have bike rental/delivery services. I'm pretty surprised there isn't something similar near WDW. Maybe t
  7. Hey guys, first post on Fort Fiends. I tried searching for this info, but I didn't find a recent post on it. I hope I'm not violating any decorum, here. My apologies if I am. Short version of the question: If I'd really like to have a bike at FW (staying in a cabin), but don't have room in the car to bring one from home, do I have any non-Bike Barn options? Long version: I grew up vacationing at the Fort in a popup camper with my family. Riding my bike around the Fort was just about the best part of the whole trip – looking for deer and alligators, heading to the Trading Posts for Mickey B
