Kinda what I thought. Next step is to let the negotiator (wifey) at them. Hoping for a statement credit or something.

Ok, so my planning has failed miserably. I initially purchased a 10 day ticket w/hopper and waterparks and had planned on upgrading to AP's when we got there. (This would save us around $180 since we purchased them through an outside vendor). This was all done since we were (key word) planning on going for Spring Break, Fall Break, and Christmas. Fast forward 5 months'ish and our house is on the market and we have a contract on another house with some acreage, this is not only affecting our cash flow but also our time available. So bottom line, we will probably want to spend Christm

The Millennium Falcon one has me way too geeked out. So awesome! -
Guess I probably should have mentioned a disclaimer on the post. The other loops we have stayed in are 100 and 200. So compared to those loops, site 619 was private. And our youngest, Reese, normally brings all kids to our site anyway, so we normally throw privacy out the window when we take her. :D I really didn't notice the noise too much because the trees were fairly thick between us and the road. However, you could hear the buses running for sure. Here is a pic of the site during March.

We stayed on the 600 loop earlier this year and really liked it. Site 619 seemed to be the best from a shade perspective plus it was very close to the bridge leading over to the meadows. Our girls (7-9) could go back and forth while the wife and I relaxed at the camper. We had a golf cart as well which was key.

Short Term RV Storage

This idea has so much potential for us next year between fall break and Christmas. The only problem is space for stuff since we haul the golf cart in the back of the truck...wheels are still turning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
scooter rentals, how do they work?
GradyBunch replied to swimmarz's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
So glad you started this topic! The in-laws are joining us for our trip in March and MIL may need one so she doesn't overdo it. Any helpful tips on type of scooter, etc will be appreciated. Looks like they are anywhere from $125 per week to $325. Yikes -

Tropical storm Erika and Disney
GradyBunch replied to ~Kristina~'s topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
While I can't speak on what it is like at Disney during a hurricane, I can tell you that CS was very accommodating for last minute cancellations due to inclement weather. On September 25th, 2004 I was on the phone with them around midnight cancelling our honeymoon plans (the next day) due to hurricane Jeanne. Full refund for everything. We drove to Charleston, SC instead (the only place we could go from TN and avoid the storm) and stayed at the Governors House Inn for a few days. Not too shabby. -

Good Luck / Bad Luck Trip Report - Spring Break 2015
GradyBunch replied to GradyBunch's topic in Trip Reports
She is a good sport too (thankfully) as she is able to laugh at herself just as much as we did. To hear her say "that was awesome" from the walk off the coaster to the pictures and then see the pictures...That!!! Ugggg, yea the packing up. Not a good thing at all. We are in beach trip mode right now and the only good thing about packing up after that trip is that the next 3 Fort trips are booked -

Best DAY to check in when making a request?
GradyBunch replied to LA Rivers's topic in Fort Wilderness Loops Information
Welcome LA I second TCD's advice on site selection. This thread may give you a better idea on the "less desirable sites" http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/10165-list-of-less-desireable-sites/ -
Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for. If my math is correct, as of today I could save $181.02 on 4 AP's by getting the 10 day hopper + water park option. Not too shabby if this still works.
-
Exactly what I was looking for, thank you.

Since I am el cheapo i have to ask this question. If you purchase say 10-day tickets from an outside vendor - 1) can you also upgrade those tickets? and 2) If so, when disney is calculating how much more you owe them, do they know how much you paid for them from said outside vendor?

Thank you for all the great advice and after a ton of discussion, we are attempting 3 trips next year, yikes...We booked Christmas 2016 this weekend and have decided to customize the trips to make them unique. How exactly are we doing that? Not sure but planning is half the fun. I think we will definitely feel more freedom while we are there now due to the AP's which will open up some different dining options.
