Thanks for reading! We did have fun it could always be worse.

Yes, it could have been worse but still upsetting glad it didn't wreck the trip. 

Doesn't really matter to me but I heard others say the same thing.

The last morning, we have breakfast trying to eat up what we have left. We jump on the bikes and do some looping around. We stop at Meadows this is my last chance to find something. I ended up getting some hair clips for my neighbor and the Haunted Mansion puzzle. We head back taking the long way not wanting to leave. We pack up and pull out at 11. We have to stop back at Walmart to take in the battery core. Wow they have some unhappy workers there. 

We made it back home with no problems! My husband thinks the converter is bad. We ended up having a Mobil Tech come over just to double check that it is the converter.

I tell him about the problem with the box at the Fort and the power issues. He is not sure if they are related or not but will check everything. Drum roll what do you think the issue was? Well Clark just check the plug. Yup the converter box plug was loose. All he did was plug it back in all the way. We had looked up reasons why the power was bad and we never saw check the plug. The Fort box was just a coincidence it had nothing to do with it. Now we know.

We took the bus back and had a great conversation with another couple on the way back. Earlier in the trip we saw a mug that we thought was cute but did not purchase. Well, we both had been thinking about this mug. I thought we saw it at meadows but not sure. My husband didn't think it was there but could not remember. First, we went to the Settlement and not there. Then we rushed over to Meadows not there. What now we racked our little brains. Downtown Disney? We bike back to the campsite and head off. Not really what I wanted to do but we will make it quick. This night it was packed. We park and wait in a small security line and head over to World of Disney. Of course, I get sidetracked in there and it was super busy! Ok back on track find the mugs not there. It has to be here. We really look again nope no luck. We find a CM to help. No mug every other kind of mug you could want. Where did we see this thing? We leave the store of course through the wrong exit and get turned around. We were distracted thinking about this dumb mug. We take a long walk back to the van so much for in and out. We think we saw it at EPCOT while walking thru the gift shop. Well, we are not going back there so, no luck. I think it might be an EBAY Christmas find.

Once back we charge up the battery and start to pack things up. The last night now I'm sad and discouraged. 

Today is the last day. It went by so fast! We are going to AK. We arrive just at park opening and already the line for Flight of Passage is over an hour. We decide to take the boat ride we waited for about 20 min.  The only show we saw was the bird show. My husband skipped out on Everest, so I did single rider and had no wait. We rode the few other rides and took our time looking at the animals. We left at about 4 we have dinner reservations. We get back and get refreshed, change our clothes and get on our bikes. The weather is calling for some rain, so we grab some bags for the bikes. We are headed for the lodge. We park the bikes and cover them and go to wait for the bus. We did have to wait a bit, but we still have time. I did not want to feel rushed, so we are in no hurry. We are the only ones on the bus. We check in at Whispering Canyon this is a first for us. We are given a pager and look around and decide to sit outside it's so nice out. After waiting a while the pager never goes off and our reservation time has come and gone, we go back in. I ask about the wait, and we are seated so, not really sure what happened. We were explained about the going Ons of the restaurant. I had heard stories so was prepared. Our server was perfect for us just the right amount sass without going overboard. The meal was good, and we enjoyed ourselves. Once the bill was taken care of we looked around the gift shop. We left empty handed.

The power seems to work with a battery charger, so this is what we did. Today is a no park day so we sleep in and make a big breakfast. We are going somewhere new. Lately I've been hearing about St. Augustine. It's a bit of a drive but we have all day. We arrive and figure out parking. We ended up parking in the metered lot in front of the fort. We did have to drive around a few times till a spot opened up. We decided this was our best option. We walked to the visitor center which is very nice almost a mini museum. Looked around got some information, used the restroom, and cooled off in the A/C. We walked back to the Fort paid and did the self-guided tour. We were told to start at the top because it might close early because of weather. The view and the breeze were really nice. I think we spent about an hour and a half total at the Fort. They did end up closing the top, but it never rained, or we did not see any lighting, so it was just a precaution. We then walked around the city looking in the shops and the most beautiful church. The time was almost up on the meter, so we headed back. We left and drove to the Fountain of Youth.  They have a BBQ restaurant on property that my husband wanted to try but it was closed. We decided not to pay to take a drink of water so we will remain old looking. We decided to head back. We ended up ordering pizza from Playa pizza near the MK and picked it up. On the way we got stopped while the MK train was on the track going in for the night. We beeped and waved. Once back we ate dinner. The pizza was ok not the worst or best, we have had. We then got on the bikes and rode around for a while. Stopping at the Settlement gift shop and looking around. Still need a gift for the neighbor girl. We have two nights left how good that be? Tomorow will be the last park day. Remember we bought the 4 parks pass so, up last is AK. We always start with this park and ending it is something different will this be permeant? Did not find a gift and it is looking like rain we hurry back. Once back it is sprinkling, I head into the comfort station to take a shower. Once I'm done, I can hear it really coming down. I dry my hair a little and with my towel over my head I dash back. I'm happy now to be so close to the comfort station. It ended up storming for quite a while long after we were in bed. I'm so glad it waited till the night. Tomorow is the last day.

We have been seeing more of these. Has anyone stayed in one? 

Today we are up bright and early. I decided I wanted Strawberry Shortcake for breakfast. I hop on my bike and head down while my husband has his breakfast. Wow lots of dog walkers out. There was a few Shortcakes in the cooler I pick one and check out with no wait. I make my way back finish getting ready. I eat my breakfast on the way to EPCOT. I finish just in time. Today is calling for some afternoon showers so I back umbrellas in the backpack. It took forever to get in and we arrive just as the regular guests can enter. It looks like the park is going to be busy today. We get all the rides done in the morning and have a snack. I forgot about the virtual line for guardians and it's 1:30 when I log on. There was still availability, so I make the reservation for one. We decided to ride the boat in the lagoon across. This is something we never do. Just as we get in line it starts to rain. We are just able to get under the awning. By the time the boat arrives it has stopped raining. This was it for the rain all day. Otherwise, it was another beautiful day. We enjoyed eating around the showcase all afternoon. We even saw the concert in the American pavilion. We love test track and do another ride. The first time the design a car was not working. We eat some more and walk around. I want to get a good spot for the firework show so we claim a spot by a table. We completed the cheese challenge and I go claim our prize. While we are enjoying this my time is up for Guardians. I'm torn if I ride it, I might miss the fireworks. I know this show is temporary and we might not get another to see it. Last time I rode Guardians I was so afraid of getting sick I didn't look around, so I know I missed a lot. Now if I get sick it's almost time to leave so not as much a big deal than if we had hours left. I decide to walk over there and see how long the line is. I talk to the Cast Member working and she said it would be close. I decide not to ride. The line was getting bigger as it was getting close to the end of the night. I knew it would be hard to find my husband in the crowd if I was late and missed the show. I make my way back to the spot. I nice family joins us, and we enjoy talking to them while waiting. We really enjoyed the show and I'm glad I got to see it. We make our way out. We are super tired we walked a ton today but had a lot of fun and good food.

Once back my husband runs the battery charger, and everything is still working. Another big day tomorrow so we head off to bed.

Today was another no park day. We had some power, but lights still dim. We found a little nature center close by and decided to check it out. This was a good choice sorry I cannot remember the name. They had trails, a couple of turtles that had been injured, and a building with lots of info about area wildlife. After this we decided to do another round of mini golf this time at Fantasia Gardens. We had about an hour wait a little bit busier than the other course. I think we like this course better. After this I talked my husband into taking me to the outlets. He hates going here and it's been a while since we have been there. I wanted to just run into the Disney store to see if I could something for the little neighbor girl. Once we get there it is packed like it always is. I say just drop me off I won't be long. I find the store and walk in it is busy. I try to look around and see people lined up around the store like all the way around the store. This is the checkout line. Ya I'm out of here that line was nuts and you couldn't even see the stuff along the walls because of the line. No discount is worth it. I call my husband who has been driving around looking to park this whole time. I'm done come get me. I think it will be another long while before we go back.

We go back to the camper and have enough power to make a quick dinner. We then head back towards the outlets to attend church services at a beautiful church right next door to them. After Church which is not fun leaving the parking lot with so much traffic. I could not do this every week. We then drive to a Harbor Freight looking for a battery charger. My husband thinks this will help. We get back hook it up to the battery and successfully everything is working, and the lights are bright. We relax for a bit and decide to call it a day. Tomorow is a full park day.

Lots of empty sites when we went last month.

Today we got to sleep in. We had a big breakfast in the camper and decided to go mini golfing. The weather was calling for rain so we better get a move on. 

We decided on winter and summer and picked the summer side. We had no wait and was done just in time it was starting to rain when we got into the van. We headed back to the camper deciding on what to do. I started dinner in the slow cooker. My husband suggested we go to a movie at Downtown Disney. Haunted Mansion was playing. It was still raining but not to hard. By the time we parked and got to the theater it had just about stopped. We did enjoy the movie, but we had just learned some things on the tour that we picked up on in the movie and we were in Disney.

After the movie we walked around for a bit and looked in some shops. Getting hungry we headed back. Dinner was done and we sat down to eat. I looked at the lights and said do they look dim? Yes they were dim and getting dimmer. We shut everything off but the fridge and pulled out the lanterns. We cleaned up and decided to head down to the beach for the fireworks. We would look into the power tomorrow. We looked around the gift shop and found some open chairs. While waiting a CM came over and informed us that it was a party night fireworks would be later. A bunch of people left. We stayed for the boat parade. The was a  group sitting behind us they were very loud. We got up and went on the pier and waited. After the parade we decided to head back and not wait for the fireworks. We were still tired from lack of sleep the past few days. We got back and the fridge was still working that's good. We got ready and went to bed. Will we get power back?

I recommend the tour. It's long but you get plenty of bathroom breaks and lunch is included. Plus we got 2 rides that we didn't have to wait in line.

It's a good morning all the power is on. We get ready have breakfast strawberry shortcake yes please. We ride bikes to the marina today is MK. Yes the boat is still there husband locks up bikes I get us a spot. He hurries and we are off. Another beautiful day! Today we are doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour. We have a check in time of 8:45. We arrive in plenty of time. We both really enjoyed this, and our guide was the best. We were able to get a virtual for Tron while we were on the tour. After the tour we hit up all the favorites and had a snack. We had a big lunch on the tour and was not very hungry. We rode Tron. I admit I was a little scared that I was going to fall off that I did not enjoy it that much. I think I would like the last seat the best where you sit down. We watched the fireworks from behind the castle it was cool seeing them all around us. You do miss the projections but no crowds. After the fireworks we walked on Seven dwarves and walked on Peter Pan.

We were able to do a good number of rides even with the tour. The park is still open we have time for more, but we are so tired. We decide to call it a day.  We head out and with a short wait we are on the boat headed back. We bike back and go straight to bed. Everything is still working. Will it last?

Yes it was! 

Ok so all the repairs are done for now. I came for fun so let's go to MGM. It's a later start then I wanted but it's a beautiful day! Once we arrive the parking lot doesn't look to busy. We get up to the gate I go first scan in and start walking. I turn to talk to my husband, and he is not there. I look and he is still at the gate. Remember the magic band I gave him? Turns out it was our sons who is not with us. After some explaining and confusion, we get a card for him and we are now all in. 

Everything was going smooth till we are next to get on runaway railway when it goes down. We get a fast pass and head over Toy story land. Slinky dog is also down. We get in line for mania we are halfway there when it goes down. We decide to head back to the camper and check on it also get some dinner. On the way out we see runaway just opened we get in line and success we ride. I like this ride but miss Great movie. Ok now we we head out. 

We get to the gate and all the magic bands, and the card don't work. Bob has to let us in. We get back to the site open the camper door and right away notice the fridge light is blinking and it is warm. We get a bag of ice throw everything in the freezer and head to Trailsend for dinner. Not really happy with the new look. We order get a beeper find a table and wait. While waiting we decide what to do. Remember I'm here for fun and I want to Fantasmic. We start to notice people getting their food. We still wait. A table next to us was having a loud conversation with the manager. We wait and I'm freezing cold in here. A server sees us waiting looks at the receipt and takes it with him. We wait. Now another server comes over and explains they lost the order would we like some free dessert. Yes, please we get it bagged up for later. Finally, the food arrives but one of my husband's sides is missing. They will send it right out. My husband got the 2-piece chicken, and the pieces were very small. Just as we are done eating here comes the other side. We finish eating and get out of this ice box and get back to MGM. We end parking in almost the exact same spot. Head over to Toy story land Slinky dog is still down. We use our fast pass and head over for Fantasmic I know it fills up fast and I want to get a good seat. We get up to the theater and it is very busy we get in line. Good thing we got there early. We ended up loving the show. Now we it's time to leave and we go to Walmart to get a battery. As usual this place is a mad house. The auto section and had no employees and was dark. With the flashlight from his phone, we find the battery. 

We arrive back at the Fort and once again nothing works Bob has to let us in. He remarked to us to use the app on our phone. He did act like we were bothering him and, it was our fault. My husband hooks up the new battery and all seems like it's working. We have an early day tomorrow and we have had a day! It's time for bed.

Christmas present

I was awakened at 4am by a beeping. It was the carbon monoxide detector. Now the lights are hardly on. I plugged us in to shore power maybe I didn't have it all the way in. We go out and check. The surge protector would go to green then red when we moved the cord. That is not good! We unplug and shut everything off. Go back to sleep not much to do in the dark and at this hour. 

A few restless hours later we are up and checking things out. I call down to the office I'm told we will send someone right away. We see the spot behind us is empty we plug in there. Some stuff is working some not the surge protector is green.

A hour goes by I call again. We will let them know they will be there soon. Remember we are going to the studios today. We talk about should we still go and, how long is it to late to go? Another hour goes by. Finally, 2 hours and twenty minutes later here is the guy. He takes a look and says we have a bad outlet he will have to replace it. He will be right back. A hour later he is back. He could not find the part has to go to a couple different places. He is sorry fixes it we plug in. Some things work some don't. My husband thinks it's a battery problem now. We discuss what to do. It's a beautiful day should we change our plans and chance going to the studios another day that might rain? 

I bought my son the socks.

We arrived at the fort the Tuesday after Labor Day about 6:00. We were tired, hungry and excited. I had done online check in before we left and never received a text with site number.

 We find a green light that is open, and we are in. Site 1908 is home for the next 8 nights. We find the site and I'm not sure I like it. There is a bit of a drop off between the pad and the ground. It needs more fill. My husband just wants to get unloaded he says it's fine right next to comfort station. I go along with him but, still I don't like it. We set up and, head to Downtown Disney. It's been a while since we have been there, we plan on getting dinner and hitting World of Disney. We have nice quick dinner at Blaze and do a little shopping.

We leave and get a few things at Publix before going back. I hand my husband his magic band when we get back and have no problems getting in. Remember this for later. We get back and turn the light on it looks dim. Maybe bulb is going? I go to the Comfort station and take a shower my husband is tired and goes to bed as he did all the driving with little sleep. I get back dry my hair and think that the bathroom looks dim also. I'm also very tired and think maybe it's just me? I go to bed excited tomorrow we are going to the Studios. I bought the 4-park ticket deal, so no reservations needed. Last time it rained on us tomorrow calls for no rain. 

Next do the dim lights mean anything? Will we have a full night's sleep? Will we make it to the Studios?

We just love it! I know everyone loves Dollywood but for us we went last year and have no plans to go back. I just wanted to give it a shout out because I feel it never gets the recognition it deserves. Please report back if you go how you liked it.
