hoping something frees up this summer for those dates - I know last year we got some dates for Oct 2019 in September 

We went in end of October (10/26) to be exact , faxed our letter 10 days before and got our site we requested . We go again in January and hope they still have a way to request. Concerned with our trailer being 38 feet , two awnings , 3 slides plus 22 foot long bed truck being in the right site .. especially with not knowing the ins and outs of of premium meadow loops 

Yeah on the golf cart etc part .. with us though it’s more about the site dimension 18ft wide by min of 60 ft deep .. I also seek out sites for ease of backing in ..as someone pointed out many sites in the 800 loop are very difficult due to others parking cars and trucks in road etc. we love little bear for its seclusion as well as multiple sites over 70ft deep .. we prefer a couple of the sites for backing in too. 37ft trailer plus 22ft long bed truck with long wheelbase makes for some tight quarters 

Ok so we traded in our 33 ft 2018 Forest River Cherokee 27rks with one slide for our new 37 ft 2020 grand design transcend 31rls  with 3 slides and two awnings .

our truck is a Ford F-250 long bed superduty with long wheel base .. do it’s allot of vehicle and trailer .. about 56 ft .. 

we really love little bear and have had luck with 1453 (the app says it’s very difficult to back into although we find it ok ) also have had luck with 801 .. very easy 

we plan to send our letter fax about 10 days prior ... any other suggestions for our set up (we have premium sites now and meadow premiums in our reservations in 2020

any suggestions for ease to back in as well as large enough both width and length 

it appears there are a few sites in little bear that are large enough to work with 

any advice is greatly appreciated

Well late last night I was able to snag 26-29 in a premium ...called today to ask for adding 26th first to my existing reservation .. the very helpful and candid reservation rep said it wasn’t available to add just the 26 but went on to say it didn’t make sense because he was able to get a new reservation like I already got the night before .. so before he did that I advised him I had another reservation which he just saw at same time ... he said good ..told me to please hold on and he would contact his guest service team and combine them .. asked me if I wanted to add the deposit from last night to my other reservation and I said sure .. well after about 10 mins on hold he came back on and said it was all done .. so we are all set 

woo hoo 

now to get my letter typed up requesting our specific sites we like and fax it 10 days prior ... hopefully we get as our new grand design we just bought 2020 gd transcend 31 rls is a big one and I know the sites that will be best for the 36ft plus our long bed truck

site .. wishing I made our check in day for the 26th .. I’ve been going online trying to add the 26th to our existing and trying just to get the 26th as a single night .. even doing my normal tricks of adding additional nights etc to cancel once I get at least the 26th... anyone know of any other secrets ?? Will calling warrant any results ?

Yeah as a local who camps at the Fort frequently we have learned recently that we need to book all the trips we want for the entire year as soon as we can. Worse case scenario we cancel the trips we decide not to take (which never happens ) however we learned many others do the same thing with some of them canceling. Plus there are several “travel agents “ (quotes intentional ) who book up sites as soon as they become available .. it’s crazy .. we learned that recently with how at 499 days out Halloween week in 2020 was booked up in seconds . Very frustrating and disappointing 

Yeah my first venture with our own camper many years ago I backed over one of those Poles in the 800 loop .. tore it out of the ground with the step side in my truck .. damaged the step side .. snapped the pole out of the ground .. I was so embarrassed and aggravated

Florida campgrounds in general are getting very pricey . Forget about if you want to camp during snow bird season .. most wont even allow guests to stay for less than a month between feb 1.  - May 1 

my dad comes down every year to the same place but has to pre pay for his whole trip w min stay of 45 days 

that’s why we don’t plan on camping during those months anymore .. the Fort is $200 and if your lucky to find one that will take in a vacationer it’s over 150 per night 

Getting very frustrated , been trying to book our Halloween trip for 2020 : as soon as new rates opened and timing (499 days) allowed us we attempted to book our trip for Halloween 2020. Tried both online and via phone to no avail. Is Disney blocking sites ? I can’t believe it totally booked solid instantly ? Any new tricks ? Used to booking different days and piecing together etc ... I get Halloween on a Saturday is busier but instantly sold out ? Crazy

Yes we will be in a hotel room and can't cook our own food, but we also wont have to fold up a soggy PUP or wade thru a flooded site.

For a 3 day stay it's really not worth setting up and breaking down a tent or PUP, by the time you can check in and the time they eject you from the site.

Exactly ... don’t get me wrong I much prefer to stay in our camper (not tent or pup anymore ) than in a hotel room .. I still prefer Ft Wildernrss for our 3 each 7-8 night Disney trips but our shorter get aways we will choose a hotel on big passholder discount .. in fact this year will be our last ft wilderness trip (used to go for a week every year ) in March ..time to do something different next year in March

Figured it would include our favorite 1400 loop big bear little bear .. we prefer little bear .. we always request that loop .. didn’t get last two visits though .. we booked our January 2020 trip in meadows premium and will book our subsequent trips in 2020 in there when available .. it’s a shame as this is purely a money grab and actually shrinks down the amount of true premium sites available ... what’s next Disney ? 

I mean March 1-May you are getting $200 per night for a premium site ?? That’s crazy for campsites .. heck with passholder and Florida resident discounts resort rooms are cheaper :. Some villas are just a couple bucks more .. I still love me some Ft Wilderness but they are making it less and less attractive :.

Ok so went to book our Halloween 2020 trip and noticed a new category , they now have Premium Meadow Sites ? Run about $10 more vs Premium Sites ? Anyone know  yet what loops these are in ? We are big fans of Little Bear path but not sure if it’s part of that or what loops ? 

On a related note how can they already not have availability 10/25/2020-11/2/2020 ? Online booking just opened up ? I even called to try and book to no avail ? That’s insane

Exactly .. when they should be adding more sites and lowering costs :.. oh well .. we check in tomorrow .. we will still have fun but we are getting more and more concerned at Disney appearing to be caring even less

I don’t get how they can justify this type of stuff / inconvenience while still charging over $200 per night right now ? My fur family not going to be happy this coming week .. you would think they would push a little faster to complete
