  1. For your motorhome to be granted permission to be left in the overflow park lot, you either must stay at the Fort before or after the cruise. we have done it in the past and they give you a special park pass to display on the windshield. and with a dingy and dolly I am sure that they will request that it be seperated for parking spot reasons
  2. TCD, Yes I have been here a long time and yes I give any info possible,, under this situation due to being an internal concern I can not give out how this came to be..... As I always do, 10 days out I call the F.W. front desk and request a specific 3 sites and always been placed into one of them,, On this situation, I was assisted due to a very DIFFICULT concern from our visit last year. I did not ask for the assistance, I was contacted,, However I am not going to turn down the opportunity to be placed into the site we requested. I asked for loop info as we have never stayed in 1700 b

  7. Ok, looking for info from all who have stayed in the 1700 loop. Our first year out of a premium loop. Decided on 1700.. We have reviewed the loop tape and there appears to be several sites in 1700 that are better than others. Recommendations from past experiences of who stayed there and which ones we should request and which ones we should avoid.. Our set up: 40 ft motorhome with slides. Thanks in advance.. We will be at the Fort First full week of December.. We are leaning towards 1718..
  8. TCD. Thanks for the response, arriving Sat December 5, 2015 leaving Sat Dec 12, 2015. Satellite concern is we lost use of our roof top dish and are using our portable tripod set up, so moving around the site for 90% plus signal is not such a big issue as long as I have direct line of sight.. if you believe 1700 would be better for our set up 40ft motorhome with slides, I appreciate any site numbers you would recommend. As I said, this is our first time in a full hook up site, I have the premium sites we always stayed at to a science and we have always stayed in 500 so I have always
  9. Tim, I appreciate the response, However I am looking for recommendations for specific sites that someone has stayed in compared to another in the loops I mentioned, We have always stayed in a premium loop for many years and opted this year to stay in a full hook up site. and Yes you can request a specific site, we do it every year, we call and request 3 specific sites and almost always are placed into our first choice, Unfortunately there is a huge difference in sites thru the Fort. Some excellent sites, some not so excellent. But since we have never stayed in a full hook up site befo
  10. Ok, probably have asked this question previously. so bear with me. Our yearly trip brings to to a full hook up site this year. ok most of the info I have gathered recommends us to the 1600 or 1700 loop. Wanting everyones advice on which loop and which sites are better in the loop recommended. Here is our info for recommendations: 40 ft motorhome with slides, also satellite reception is important, do not need to be close to comfort stations and transportation is not a factor since we bring our golf cart. All recommendations are GREATLY Appreciated.. Thanks
  11. Do yourself a favor and call 2-3 times in the last 10 days before you arrive,, on our annual trip this year we linked our reservation with our son's and when we got there we were in diffrent loops, when we questioned our linked reservations we were told by the f.w. front desk these are not guaranteed and if possible you are put together, were told you could be in the same loop, but could be on diffrent ends or next to each other or in a diffrent loop altogether.we were advised if we did this in the future to start calling 10 days out and continue to call right up to the time we leave to make s

  19. thanks for all of the responses,, cabins way out of the question,, many $$$$$$$$.. unfortunately , a pop up will not work,, make camping easy still only has a 5th wheel.. and do not need a golf cart,, we will be bringing our own,, and borrowing my uncles for a second,, thanks for the thoughts,, will keep prospecting...
  20. I have reviewed the sponsors,, make camping easy only rents 5th wheels,, do not need that size and $$$$.. mechrams also too $$$$..
