  1. I remember when value season at resorts used to be almost all year other than summer, Easter and Christmas. When the dern rate schedules started having 20 categories and only about 6 weeks of values rates spread throughout the year, I was over it. It took a while, for me to finally throw up my hands and throw my ap away, but it's been over two years and I don't regret my decision to end my relationship with Disney. As locals, we went often and ate almost exclusively at tableservice restaurants. The quality kept going down while pricesj kept going up at a rapid rate. I know they didn'
  2. Yes! She wanted to feel the wind on her face! I miss her every day and enjoy those happy memories! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  3. The pontoon boats and the sea raycers are super slow! Even my mother complained about how slow they were. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  4. It was wonderful to catch up on the adventures of the DIT family! Thank you! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  5. I still follow along, but since we sold the camper... I also try not to say much because I have become so negative about Disney. I still love fiends and the happy memories I have here. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  6. Lol we did get them separate. The pan is one of two that stack together so you can do multiple things at three same time, like two cheesecakes or flans! The bands make it easier to lift things out of the pot. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  7. I threw a meal together in about 30 minutes last night. I used frozen hamburger patties (I buy burger, make patties and freeze them) too make hamburger steaks and gravy. I used pot in pot to cook green beans with soy sauce and brown sugar at the same time. Then served it with riced cauliflower steamer bag done in the microwave! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  8. One pound of ground beef. I used those fingerling sized potatoes. You can use larger and cut in quarters. I am going to adjust my meatloaf recipe because I make it real moist for the oven because I like it moist and tender(soak bread in cream and sauteed veggies with a bit of stock.) It wad super moist done in the ip, so I won't add stock anymore! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  9. Potatoes in pot covered with chicken broth our water. Put the trivet over them. Wrap meatloaf in foil set inn trivet. Wrap asparagus with a bit of butter putt Olive oil, set on meatloaf. High pressure for 30 minutes. Natural release 10 minutes. Take out meatloaf, sauce place under broiler a few minutes. Meanwhile, drain potatoes add butter and cream and mash. Serve! Throw away foil and wash pot! I worried asparagus would be mush, but I guess being in foil on top cooked slower. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  10. I have not done rice. I have done meatloaf, mashed potatoes and asparagus all at one time and it was perfect I also made caramel flan! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  11. They just opened a new Publix across from the walmart on 535. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  12. Edward cooked a big batch the other day with some sweet cornbread! It was enough that we have two batches in the freezer ready to go! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  13. That's was a great time! She said wanted us to bring the old cast iron wood stove! Lol I don't think Amazon delivers that! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  14. One year at thanksgiving it turned cold and y'all know Mama wasn't about all that, so my brother ordered that walls for our ezups from Amazon prime. He picked them up when tracking showed they had been delivered. I believe he let them know he had a box coming. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  15. I love the osso bucco at Miller's. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  16. I received an email from bank of America with information on waiving all kinds of fees, including overdraft. They also said to contact them to increase credit lines or to discuss payment arrangements for loans etc. They are also donating a million dollars to relief efforts and 250,000 to the red cross. Capital one credit card is offering 150 credit to some customers.
  17. That makes me feel better about them! I do get the money side also. I just know it has been crazy for people trying to get home. Even the two lane road that goes through my hometown has been bumper to bumper for miles moving at a snail's pace. I10 and highway 90 have been the same. I can only imagine 75 and 95.
  18. I can only imagine the hardship WDW being opened is causing many of their cms. All area schools are closed so even childcare could be an issue for many, much less the face they may be facing damages and no power at home. I guess I sound mean, but purple do not need to be clogging the roadways and using gas when people are trying to return home. Many big businesses are trying to help, even the 7 eleven were giving out free water before the storm. What has Disney done to help? Maybe I missed something?
  19. I would not recommend the KOA. It is a good little drive away and right of the road by Sam's. Sherwood Forest is another possibility. I think Tropical palms looks nicer, but I know there have been issues with the homeless using the facilities there. Lake Magic is another option. I know lots of Fiends have stayed there Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  20. I don't know about y'all, but a certificate of authenticity from themselves doesn't have much meaning in my opinion. I can print all kinds of certificates. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  21. The next thing will be campers having to pay to attend the fireworks at the beach party. The year of a million schemes continues. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
  22. If you do not buy the dinner package, did not plan on getting in. Even with the package, plan on lining up real early if you'd like a decent seat to see the musicians play. If not, just plan to stand behind somewhere to hear. Sadly, the nightmare to get in for our reserved seating, was the proverbial last straw for me.Do you notice all the added possibilities for meals? It's because now they have pretty much sold out the whole theater. We lined up about 45 minutes before we were told to and the reserved l line was already to Morocco and doubling up. Crowd control SMB! We ended up in the n
  23. I hate you had a bad experience with the chipped beef in toast. I actually posted about it in my fb last memorial day. "Memorial day is a day to honor our fallen military. I guess even though my Daddy was one of the fortunate who came home, he has been on my mind. Ed and I decided yesterday that we wanted "Chipped Beef on Toast'" I never eat this that I don't remember the story Mama and Daddy told us many times. When they married in 1952, Mama was 17 and had grown up with a mother who was not really a good cook, so she was determined to teach herself. Daddy was working graveyard shift
  24. Or you could access the local Ed delivery service, it's free, or enjoy a meal at the local Rita's eatery! We have a chest freezer, it usually has room in it. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
