I downloaded the app to my iPad the other day, but didn't play around with it until yesterday while we were on the road. While checking out the sites that I requested (840 or 841) I realized that our motor home won't really fit on 840 (it's 40 feet long and the RV is 39 feet). So I called the front desk this morning and told the CM my dilemma...only to find out that they had assigned us a site in the 500 loop!!! The CM was great! He would call out available site numbers and I would use the app to check them out. I picked a site that sounds like it will work for us, and hopefully we will get it when we get there. I'm so glad I had the app so that I could check the site out before we arrived!!! Thanks, Jen and Chris!

That is too cool! I am so proud to be a Fiend. Have any of you ever wondered what we would have done if Jen and Chris hadn't created this site for all of us? I can't imagine where we would be hanging out today without them! Thanks for everything that you have done for us, Jen & Chris!

That is really cool, Mo! What is it they say? If you build a better mousetrap, they will beat a path to your door? Well, I know of a place that once built a pretty decent mousetrap, but then the owners of the mousetrap shop made a very curious decision to kick their customers out and lock the door behind them. A couple of the mousetrap customers built and even better mousetrap and invited everyone from far and wide to come and share in the mousetraps, to help others obtain mousetraps, to spread the word about mousetraps and to get together as often as possible to enjoy each other's company and share mousetrap stories.
And whatever happened to that original store that had built the pretty good mousetrap? Last I heard they had caught a snake in their mousetrap and now nobody wants them anymore.

I know most of you on here are waaaaaaaay yonger than I am, but she was very much a part of my growing up years. For those of you who don't know who she was she was the very successful editor of Cosmopolitan Magazine. I ready it evey month and would get it the first day it came out. Did it have something to do with the WOMAN I AM TODAY.
Hear me Roar, I am sure you all do when we camp together, for that matter I am sure the fiends who aren't camping with us can hear me no matter where they are LOL

I don't pack real plates anymore, just paper plates.  I hate having to wash dishes, so although I know it's not good for the environment, I only use paper plates when we camp.  Now if they could just come up with paper pots and pans, I'd be really happy!

Great trip report! I didn't want it to end. It is now one of my top three favorite trip reports! I won't tell you which trip reports made up the rest of the top three, but let's just say one of them had to do with a trip to Moscow, and another one was a report that just won't end...it goes on and on and on....

Lorna, we need to get together and eat lobster one day! I love lobster and I know how to eat it...I even suck the meat out of those tiny little legs! I was born in Maine, but my parents used to say that I hated lobster until we moved away and it started to cost twice as much! :laugh:

That's what we do too, Carol. I never use them at home, but they are great in the RV.

I wonder if it was my Fort Fiend sign? My husband said that someone came by one morning and was asking about the board. I was inside drying my hair, so he didn't call me to come outside. I felt bad because I wanted to give the person a FF.net card so that they would stop by and visit the board. Was it you by any chance?

We'll be there October 3rd through 9th (I think that's right) for the Food & Wine Festival.  We go every year.  We consider it a business trip since we own a liquor store!  It's my favorite time of year to go!
