Just got home from a Disney Cruise. Bring a travel mug/ large mug to get drinks from the drink machines on the upper decks. They provide small cups. Also bring your own snorkel gear if you plan on snorkeling at Castaway Cay. The rental is steep. Don't bring any towels, the ship provides all the towels you need, you just need to pack them off the ship. At Port Canaveral, they never checked how many bottles of wine we brought on board. I also recommend that you slap a luggage sticker on a case of water bottles or two, depending on how much water you drink, and turn it in with your luggage.

Just got home from a 7 day Star Wars Day at Sea cruise. Port Canaveral didn't even blink at eye at the switch, or any other electronic device. Had a great cruise.

I find it easier to take the Motor Cruiser(Green Flag) to Magic Kingdom and then catch the Launch(Gold Flag) around 7 Seas Lagoon. I think it is quicker and you don't have to walk as far and I like riding the boats, except for when it is in the low 40's...

That was the most people I have ever witnessed there. People had chairs lined up on the beach to save "their" spot and by noon the entire beach was covered.

Thanks for the information. I am well aware of how the "Front Desk" information seems to come out of thin air. I am also aware that some people on the interwebs believe that they are always correct and will not believe anything that is contradictory to their statement.

I have been taking my gas cart for 4 years and have never seen anything that stated they were not allowed.

It is being reported that gas golf carts are not allowed at the Fort anymore on the Momentum Owners Facebook page. One person claims to have verified it by calling the front office at the Fort. Is this true?

The Lower Algiers ferry for 4 people should have been about $5. $2 if they didn't charge for the extra passengers.

Our favorite for Christmas has been Liberty Tree Tavern. Has a homelike feel and is a classic turkey dinner.

Another option is the spend the night before at one of the hotels in Port Canaveral that offers the cruise package where you can park your car at the hotel while you are on the cruise. The hotel shuttle drops you off and picks you up. It comes out cheaper than the parking at the port. It is not as secure as the parking at the port, but so far we have not had any issues going that route. We did leave our fifth wheel camper at The Fort for a 4 day cruise last summer. We spent a couple of days in The Fort, then went on the cruise and spent a few more days in The Fort before heading home.

One big piece of advice...Take the longest cruise available. There is so much to see that the short cruises are just too short. Make sure that whichever cruise you book makes a stop in Icy Point Straight (Hoonah). It was the best stop of the entire cruise with the best fresh crab place ever at a reasonable cost. Also, always be looking outside. There is a breath taking view with every turn of the ship. It is nothing like cruising the Bahamas or the Caribbean. I am still working on pictures for my report. It is going slow with 2 weeks of work to catch up on.

Home from the cruise. It was FANTASTIC! Loved the Wonder. There were a couple of things that are better on the Dream, such as Senses Spa, but the smaller ship was just so much fun. We were surprised that our Captain was the same Capatain we had on a previous cruise aboard the Dream, Captain Henry Anderson. The weather was great, the scenery even better, and the crew was Awsome. I learned a lot that may be valuable to other Fiends in the future and I will get that out in a trip report coming soon. Now to catch up on laundry and recoup from the trip.
