  1. I believe there is only one bookstore on campus, a Barnes & Noble. Seems like every university in the country has signed contracts with B&N to operate their bookstores. It is a couple of blocks from the stadium. They are working hard on a new Mike now. I am sure that there will be a new Mike in the future.
  2. Zea Rotisserie and Grill near Whole Foods on Corporate BLVD. try the Thai Ribs and the Corn Grits. Louisiana Lagniappe on Perkin's Road, a very good cajun/louisiana restaurant. Sullivan's Steakhouse across the interstate from your hotel. This is a very good place but a bit pricey and has a business casual dress code. Visit the "Mike the Tiger" enclosure. A bit sad since Mike died a couple of weeks ago, but still nice to see. Be sure and get to the stadium 3-4 hours before the game and just visit the tailgaters. It is almost as good as the "Grove" in Oxford. (Hotty Toddy!)
  3. A couple of words of caution. Wear good walking shoes, and I hope you are not afraid of heights. The stadium is steep to say the least, especially if you are in the 600 sections. It was a 1.6 mile walk from the parking area to the stadium. There are no buses but there are vendors that offer bicycle powered buggy rides for $25 per person one way. That is unless you have scored a parking pass. We stayed at a hotel on Seigen Lane. It is a nice part of town with lots of restaurants close. Then you can get to the River Road and come up to the campus from the south side avoiding almost all the traff
  4. I was just at the LSU Old Miss game. I can help you with some advice as I know Baton Rouge very well. Which hotel will you be staying?
  5. The campers at the Fort are the only ones that can change this behavior. I think everyone should have a campground meeting the morning of Trick-or-Treating with management and Security. Enough people demand something be done, and it will happen. All it would take is a cast member with a magic band scanner at the entrance to every loop. No current reservation, no entrance into the loop for Trick-or-Treating.
  6. 20 minutes is my rule of thumb. That is approximately 2/3rds of a wash cycle. They should have been there by that time. I always set a timer on my watch for 25 minutes so I get back to the washer just about the time the spin cycle ends.
  7. Does someone have the email address for the current manager at the Fort? I think they need to see this. And where was security during all this?
  8. And this was my wife's favorite picture she took. Closest to farthest, our son, our daughter, and then me.
  9. This is my favorite picture. Disney Dream, Stateroom 9500 while docked at Castaway Cay.
  10. We did before we left the boat. Going again June 2nd through the 7th of 2017. This one includes two days at Castaway Cay. Speaking of the Cay, this is how you can tell you had a full day on the Cay: Yes, she was snoring at the table in Animators Palate.
  11. For our cruise in May, we left port on Monday morning and returned to port on Friday morning, and it went by way to fast. I think a 3 day would just zoom by. I had no idea about a "See You Real Soon" show. We missed it.
  12. I feel a little cheated that we did not get to enjoy Pelican Plunge on our first ever visit the last week of May. It was closed for refurbishment. Loving the report.
  13. As much as it hurts, and brings up very bad memories, this story is stacking up to be very true. The father has wounds from wrestling with the gator to try and rescue his son. This family needs lots of prayers. Losing a 2 year old is the most damaging thing a parent can endure. It is not easy, it never leaves your mind, and stories like this knock you back into a downward spiral of despair and depression. Time will not heal. Time just allows you to deal with it easier. Again, they need prayers.
  14. The only news report out does not state any witnesses. This was during the beachside movie. There should have been lots of witnesses.
  15. This is very sad news. I may be wrong, but my gut thinks fraudulent claim. Whether true or not, that family needs prayers.
  16. When in convection mode, it is nothing more than a glorified toaster oven. There is a heating element inside with a fan to keep the air moving inside the device so that there are no hot spots.
  17. Unfortunately there is no way we can make the season opener in Orlando. We would love to. This may be the most important game of the entire season for both teams. I'm sure our son would love to be stranded at Castaway Cay. I think we all would for a couple of weeks anyway.
  18. That is exactly how we felt. It was the Disney we grew to love, but hadn't seen in a while. We had decided to stay away from the parks and Disney in general, but our son had been begging to take a cruise. I guess all his school friends had been on a cruise before and he wanted to see what he was missing. So for a combined end of school for him/ graduation for our daughter(on her way to Ole Miss), we took a cruise. We had heard such great things about the Disney cruise line so we figured we would give it a whirl. I think we may be hooked for now. I can say that Tinkerbell was with
  19. That was shot free handed with a small point and shoot camera. The cruise was fantastic. It was our first cruise on any cruise line. It was so good we booked another cruise for next year before we left. My wish is that the customer service experienced on the cruise ship could find its way back to the parks at Disney World.
  20. The ship was moving west at 4 knots along the southern coast of Grand Bahama island. I am sure that the wind direction is taken into account. I also understand the fireworks are always fired off the starboard side.
  21. This was filmed on the 25th of May aboard the Dream from the 13th deck. I hope you enjoy.
  22. The cabins are actually mobile homes so all they need to do is attach axles to them, a tongue, and tow them off.
