  1. I heard those winds can be pretty strong in Florida during the summer. Anything not secured down can just fly away. One should be more careful with their belongings.
  2. Like everyone else has already stated, I am so glad that you all are safe and were able to walk away from the accident. We don't have any dogs, but we are very strict about the use of the seat belts in the car for people. I am even a stickler when it comes to car seats and boosters. My youngest who turned 9 in March still rides in her booster (though she has many friends who do not) because she is still too short to properly fit an adult seat belt. I am going to share this with my sister and her husband as they do have a dog and I know for a fact they do not crate him when they trave
  3. Once again, thank you for allowing me to follow along on yet another TCD trip report. Looking forward to your next one.
  4. Prayers for travel mercies coming your way! Looking forward to reading more about your journey to the fort & your fort trip.
  5. Our favorite campground in that area is Smoky Bear Campground in Cosby, TN. It's closer to Gatlinburg. The owners are on site and super nice. They have a welcome letter filled with ideas of free and not free things to do in the area. Also they try to do activities there at the campground to encourage fun and fellowship like line dancing, games etc. One time when we were there my youngest dd won a stuffed bear. She was able to put a wooden coin between her legs and drop into in a jug. Yep my girl's got talent! :rofl2: It looks like during the time that you are there they will have their 6th
  6. Ok, note to self ...bring camper into parking lot at HS for prime parking spot. :rofl2: This is great and looking forward to reading more.
  7. I do believe this is what made me want to keep coming in to read more on this trip report. Reading along it truly felt like a Magical Experience!
  8. It's not Cindy's work is beautiful. Looking forward to hearing more about this adventure you had with your girls and seeing more pictures.
  9. Great Trip Report! I can't wait to read more and see more pictures.
  10. This is an awesome report. The smiles on the faces of everyone and the twinkle in the eyes shows how much fun you all are having and absolute pure joy.
  11. Great trip report. Looking forward to the next one.
  12. Thanks for sharing your anniversary trip with us. I found myself thinking oh that would be a great place to visit. There seemed to be so much that my whole family would enjoy especially my teenage son who loves historical places. And making teenagers happy on vacations makes for an enjoyable vacation for all!
  13. My hubby was like that for the longest time. Then we won a weeks use of an rv from a local dealer. They took it to a local campground for us, set it up, showed us how everything, worked & took care of cleaning it up when we left. Hubby's original plan was to go back into work once in awhile while we were camping. That never happened & less than a year later we had purchased our TT. Now he's drooling over the 5th wheels. We'd have to upgrade our tow vehicle though for that.
  14. This is great! I love the bunkbed and the baby's bed. That would be an awesome idea for a group baby shower gift. It's something that as a mom would not think of purchasing myself, but would have loved to have had it when mine were babies. Looking forward to reading more about your trip.
  15. So, I have been following along with this trip report and loving every moment of it. Of course earlier today I think I was getting a message from above that I really needed to work on my daughters' end of year progress reports, grades and attendance records because my internet service was annoyingly slow. So, now that our school year is officially over  I can read along and post replies. Now if Yahoo mail would just realize that a reply from TCD posting in his trip report is NOT SPAM then all would be right with the world.
  16. The other day my teenage son asked me if I knew who Marky Marky was (didn't know that Mark Wahlberg and him were one and the same though until my son told me and showed me a 60 Minutes video). I left him speechless when I told him "Yes." It was actually pretty funny as I was quizzing him on his English Vocabulary words and he was just so shocked that I knew who he was and couldn't formulate a thought. I moved up a notch on the coolness rating that night. :rofl2:
  17. We went this past weekend. It was my youngest dd's sleepover party. It rained pretty much the entire time, but the girls still had fun. We left the camper at the campground and will head back over this weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed that the weather they are predicting hold out. Normally we don't have it out until Memorial Day weekend.
  18. Last year for Memorial Weekend we happened to get the last available spot in the campground ( C Loop). They had just switched it over to full hook up. We didn't know until after we had the camper in that the site flooded pretty badly. Well we made it through the weekend and then were able to move our camper over to an open spot in the B Loop (knew we wanted to be there for the 4th). It is already pretty filled up right now.
  19. The bad part is you can't make reservations for the months of May, June and July.
  20. We were just there this past weekend. Actually we ended up leaving our camper there and will go spend some time there this weekend.
