Wishing that I was going to be there too. I mentioned in the Prayers for Lane Goodwin thread about the Fiends doing a "Thumbs Up" for Lane picture at the fort. Others suggested doing it during the Halloween GG. So I wanted to share the idea here.

I downloaded the app to my iPad the other day, but didn't play around with it until yesterday while we were on the road. While checking out the sites that I requested (840 or 841) I realized that our motor home won't really fit on 840 (it's 40 feet long and the RV is 39 feet). So I called the front desk this morning and told the CM my dilemma...only to find out that they had assigned us a site in the 500 loop!!! The CM was great! He would call out available site numbers and I would use the app to check them out. I picked a site that sounds like it will work for us, and hopefully we will get it when we get there. I'm so glad I had the app so that I could check the site out before we arrived!!! Thanks, Jen and Chris!

Ok, some of you asked for Gwen's Adventure Planking video, so here it is. If you have 5 minutes to spare it might give you a chuckle. In particular, pay attention at around 4:10 of the video. If you wonder why Gwen overdubbed the sound with Japanese, it's because I yelled at her to hurry up cause this was right after dinner and I was so full I couldn't lay there any longer. She didn't want my yelling in the video so she overdubbed me in Japanese. :rofl3:

Glad my little fighter has adapted to traveling.
The house seems a little boring without the sound of his little paws running, actual galloping, from one end to the other.
While the first few days we had him were filled with doubts and sadness, once he began eating on his own, he did nothing but make us smile with his antics.
I kept hoping right up until just before I left to drop him off that maybe I would be able to keep him, but it didn't happen.
While giving him to Cindy, I was happy and grateful that I found a good home for him, but at the same time it was difficult. I
made sure I kept my sunglasses on.

I think for me my grandma kinda spoiled me for traveling in groups. Whenever the extended family was together for something and she had plans to go somewhere she would tell us "Bus leaves at (she would insert a time here). If we wanted to go we were ready to go at that time if not no big deal. We all still managed to spend enough quality time together without having to spend the entire time together.
I do believe that is why I am so drawn to this group. It is just like hanging out with family. :heartsmiley: Very often better than hanging out with family. :rofl3:

Oh, and to give a plug to help Give Kids the World, may I reccomend staying at Staybridge Suites if you ever have to stay in a hotel for business somewhere. I'm not asking myself, why go to Nebraska. One of my most memorable business trips, ever, to observe factory automation was to of all places, Nebraska. It was during one of the coldest and snowiest winters ever. The high tech manufacturing going on there surprised and amazed me.
And the Nebraska people were just great, real Americans. They showed me a great time.
I even bought a bright red Corn Husker sweat shirt.
