HI!!! Longtime member...forgot my old sign in info tho so created a new account. After a WAY TO LONG break from the forum world, I have come to appreciate the value with having forums vs Facebook/twitter/etc. I think the social media burnout is real. Or perhaps I am just getting older and I want to see less filler and more meaningful content?

Now for my question. We were at the Fort this past May, I am excited for the new food court? building? area? - But I have really not seen many photos of the porch...did they bring back the rocking chairs? We are trying to get two site bookings for this fall, is it even worth trying or is everything booked? I almost don't want to even look, so I am not disappointed!

    Thank you!

I saw some of it on YouTube

The fact that they still had sites available for the 4th tells you a bunch.  The still had sites available with the whole 2100 loop closed.   When I stayed there last week in the 2000 loop, barely half were occupied.

We were there June 22 through July 2.  Couldn't believe how many empty sites.

  3. The price has gotten high. How about now you have to pay for a fast pass, which now it has a new name. If it wasn't for my kid I could be done  based on price. But she loves Disney and we like it to, so for now I guess we keep paying. Everything has gotten so expensive now we went to a camp ground last weekend that we have been going to for 20 years and it's now $80.00 per night and there are zero amenities other then river access.

  4. What a intro to this report. Its never boring crossing the country with a rv. We've had our share of rv issues going to Disney. But the truck i just trade in when the warranty is gone. I've had a truck note for a little over 20 years now(that sounds horrible when you type it out,20 years!). Enjoying your report.

  5. On Castle color we agree, I don't know how anyone really likes it. The dark grey looks nice, and the blue roof is really pretty, but that pink is just awful. My wife and daughter felt the same way and they like pink. Just not on the castle.

While I don't disagree.... I don't believe that this gentlemen knew the extent of the rules.  Unlike some on this forum, he does not stock Disney or the Fort's activities/policies.  He was invited to join some friends who have a rig. He would not have checked in, but rather gone through the gate.  My friend is a retired professional and not one to purposely buck the system.

No, of course they make no sense, which is why I'm not sure (as I stated above) that he realized that the idiotic rule of covering your face applied to riding your bike.

I agree on the cart it should be a personal decision. We actually put our masks on tonight and drove our cart around to see how bad it will be at the Fort. I really didn't enjoy it because I felt like I was at work and I like drinking a diet coke when I drive around.

As people have previously posted here and on numerous FB groups, everyone knows the rules before they arrive, or at the very least when they check in.  If they choose to ignore the rules and get reprimanded I have no sympathy for them.

Do the cart and exercising mask rules make sense?  Maybe, maybe not but it’s Disney’s property and Disney’s rules and if you can’t abide, don’t go.

I agree keep your mask on or stay home rules are rules.
