  1. Our E350 also came with LTs and when I replaced them last year, that's what the "book" called for on it.
  2. Welcome, Oscar. Hope you enjoy the forum. TV at the Fort has been a hassle. I finally got my TVs to program themselves, then I deleted those middle channels that didn't do me any good....and mostly ignored many of the lower channels that mostly advertise Disney. At least they carry all the ESPN stations except the SEC Network. Maybe they will add that one before we come back for Christmas/Bowl season.
  3. A side story: A couple years ago I had a man come by to mow my grass. Shortly after starting the job, his mower broke. He asked if I had a mower he could use. I have a gas push mower that had not been used in 2 years since I was using a riding mower and weed eater. He asked to try the push mower, and it started on the first pull. After that, I did not use it again until late last summer. Again, Start on the first pull after checking the plug to see that it was clean. I can't explain it. I haven't changed gas, just added when necessary. I haven't used additives. Just stored the thing
  4. Speaking of Google Earth, have there been any updates to Santa's program in the past couple of years, or anything that would require reloading from scratch...or has Santa retired to his secondary occupation of distributing toys to all the good little boys and girls?
  5. I am supposedly completing a Minnie lamp. How do you paint and layout the polka dots on the can?
  6. I think DIT has the right idea. Boycott WDW, buy a farm and start your own resort and petting zoo.
  7. Not sure you will find anyone. I don't know if there is a copyright issue here when selling them, but these things are so dang much trouble to build, not many people want to make very many. I have had a base for two years and just recently got around to painting the first color on it. The "head" is cracked on another. If I get the three finished at the same time, they will be the last three I build. Lots of questions...single color, changing color, ears lit, 12/6 inch globes or 12/8 inch, 3 or 4 inch tube, what kind of base to hold it up in a wind, etc. But there is a set of instructions
  8. I don't know the length or your stay, the size of your fridge, or how many people are involved, but we try to bring as much as we can from home, We run the fridge on the road to insure things stay cold. If we're out for a week or so, we usually have enough, but our month long Christmas requires a trip or two to Walmart or Winn-Dixie. We buy occasional small purchases at the Trading Posts...ice cream, tv dinner, bread.
  9. Even with a MH, we still have to take enough stuff out of the house that it takes us 2-3 days to get ready for any travel. I never gave much thought to how far and how long because we usually go to Disney for a month and Dollywood for a week, sometimes two. An occasional family visit may be a week or so,but it still requires a lot of prep. I doubt I would go anywhere for one night, but maybe a long weekend within a couple hundred miles.
  10. Hmmm.... Makes you wonder why they changed the name of that particular item....for the same product.
  11. The last 2-3 times we have ridden, we have had both the gangster and the western shootouts.
  12. I was looking at the site app yesterday and it seems like I recall the sites in 900 as being shorter than other loops.
  13. Most sites have at least SOME shade, and many are MOSTLY shaded. It's a hit or miss on any given site. We quit using our portable dish several years ago. The Fort (Disney cable system) carries most sports channels except for the SEC network. Also a hundred or so (exaggeration) Disney related channels, the local network stations, and some of the familiar cable channels.
  14. Water filters run the gamut from cheap and ineffective to expensive and very effective. We have a whole house filter that does a pretty good job with a moderate filter cartridge. We also have a cheaper filter on our hose that mainly filters sediment that may be in the supply water. I don't know if that does a lot, but we have always used one. Never had a problem with the taste, but to each his own. We are relatively new to dogs at the Fort (1 1/2 years) compared to our visits (18 years or so), but we have not encountered any problems so far. The designated pet loops have bag stands,
  15. Just curious, but why do you want a salad that has to have something to cover up the taste of a main ingredient? I have never eaten kale, and there are few "greens" I like, but I think I will stick to my iceberg lettuce.
  16. Ours came with warnings to not use them in or around airports or where aircraft could be hit by the projections. Also not to look into the lights. We tried to use one at the front of our setup, but the ground was so hard the plastic stake broke. I like the effect. Ours were steady lights, but I believe i saw some either strobing or floating near us.
  17. Does this mean DIT will soon be back at the Fort? I mean those extra swings MUST be meant to lure SOMEONE in.
  18. We had been there a couple night earlier to see the Lights (when crowds were unbearable) and had to go the long way around to start at the lower end of San Francisco toward New York. This day was after the Lights had been turned off for good....one afternoon, maybe Jan 8 and 5:30 p.m.or so. We were just wandering around after our final Commissary visit and walked down into the Streets. We walked down where the Singing in the Rain light pole used to be and were told by a CM that the area was closed and we would have to go back the way we came in. We could see blue "police" barricades at the
  19. TCD, I don't think you are in the minority for those of us who have been familiar with Walt's Dream and the original layout of the Bay Lake/Seven Seas areas. These new constructions will be accepted by the new millennials who never knew the relaxed atmosphere of the lakes. The same goes for the new construction in the Parks. They won't know what thy are missing from the "old days". "Everyman" will be priced out, and WDW will become a playground for the rich and famous...much as things like the Super Bowl is not an on-site football game for football fans.
  20. Just before we left in January they were blocking all entrances to the Streets, even while we were in there, but they were just using the blue "police" barricades. Was that just for removal of the Osborne Lights?
  21. But please try to obey the rules. Its the ones who try to slip by that eventually cause problems for all. Whether it be fire pits, barking dogs, parking on "grass", underage drivers, outside cart rentals, etc, they crackdown, but in the meantime everyone else has to suffer from these rule breakers.
  22. Happy B'Day, Snarky. And many happy returns for Queen and Super. Glad we got to see you Queeny, at the Outpost bus Depot, even if so briefly.
  23. "However it seems like the Fort is slowly becoming less relaxing because of the hoards of self-centered idiots." - Travisma We have been doing December into early Jan every year for maybe 15 years, with a few scattered warm days trips. This coming year we are cutting back and giving Dolly some of the Mouse's money. We are adding a week in the summer to chaperone some kids, but over all, we will be there less.
