  1. Mmmm... Limoncello... I always keep a bottle in the fridge. :) I had actually never had it before making it. Can you describe what it is like to drink it? Is there any liquor burn/warmth while drinking it? Ours is pretty strong so far- BUT much tamer than last week (I bottled it last Friday). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You took the words right out of my mouth! These would be a nice compliment to my Limoncello!
  3. Great pics. The pictures of your boy in the sand remind me of my little guy. He needs nightly hose downs when we camp. That and LOVE the Go Pod.
  4. LOL, I can only be crazy attentive to one forum at a time. :) What's funny is likely 10 of those 14 posts were today and yesterday! :D
  5. Yep, this is the number that gets exceeded long before others. Here's a page of mine on figuring it out: http://www.learntorv.com/p/what-can-i-tow.html Here's a calculator that I also have that helps you figure things out based on the sticker: http://www.towingplanner.com/Calculators/TowingPayloadEstimate
  6. When we went down to Orlando for Christmas 2012, we knew that we would be arriving after dark. We decided ahead of time to hole up in a hotel for the night before and parked the camper in their parking lot. It was a whole lot less stressful to get to our site at 11am than 8pm. :D
  7. I have a site that I've been working on that is supposed to help folks figure out the "art" (or is it a mix of "magic" and "luck") of RVing. See if this helps you: http://www.learntorv.com/ Good luck!
  8. Kelly- thanks for the info and links! I think we've actually pretty well narrowed down that we are going to go to Chef Mickey's. The being outside part of the BBQ is killing it (late June/early-mid July is our approximate timeframe) and we like the characters there better than the others for my son's interests at this time. We think we're going to go mid-week one evening so our weekends stay free to go play elsewhere (I have to work full-time while we're down there). Thanks everyone for the input!
  9. Surprisingly have been a long time, low posting member here. :) When is that? We're likely headed down to Williamsburg at the same time. On edit, I see it now: http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/11920-2014-easter-grand-gathering-in-gettysburg-pa/ Yeah, over Easter, we're likely headed the other way.
  10. I had forgotten about the Campfire S'mores and Singalong. That sounds like it will be a nice thing to go visit one of the nights. I do pretty much love anything at Ohanas. :)
  11. Thanks for the info. My wife was trying to explain this to me the other day. Makes more sense reading it for myself.
  12. My wife are bringing out kids down to the Orlando area this summer- either late June or sometime in July. We're staying at the Thousand Trails park in Clermont in our camper. We have a 10 year old daughter and a son who will be 2 years old by the time that we go. We are planning on doing mostly Sea World and some of the surrounding attractions (going up to Crystal River for swimming with the manatees, going to Port Canaveral, etc). But, here's the reason for my post- we would like to do some kind of dining/character experience for my son. He *loves* Mickey, Minney, Goofy, Toodles (the whole
  13. As for taking your own tiara - we have taken entire dresses and tiaras in. My wife (and daughter) had very specific looks each time (to the point, she found someone from Brazil through Etsy to make a look-alike Belle dress fairly inexpensively!). We have never had a need to change the hair or makeup. We've always been pleased.
  14. We went from Port Orleans/French Quarter by taxi to Universal. If I recall correctly, to get 5 or 6 of us there was about $50 (I don't recall if that was each way or roundtrip). If I were going from FW to SeaWorld, I'd definitely opt for the taxi for the convenience of it (even if it is more expensive than the alternatives).
  15. Thanks everyone! I ended up checking on CL and found a few folks who had firewood. I'm not looking for a ton, but I'm definitely looking for more than we'd pay in the bundles at the hardware or grocery store. I found a few places that essentially sold "by the piece" in bigger bundles. I'm guessing we'll want 50-60 pieces. We're staying at the Thousand Trails park in Clermont. Should get there a week from today (in fact, right around this time of day!).
  16. I'll admit, I'm cheating a little - I'm not actually staying at FW, but we are camping in Orlando for a Disney trip in mid-December. Maryland is under an emerald ash borer quarantine so I can't bring firewood with me. I'd love to find someone local to deliver a bit of firewood for a 2-week stay. Can anyone make any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
