  1. Post a photo of a teal pumpkin in a bright and prominent area of your camp if you are intending to have special allergy free selections. More families are beginning to recognize and look for this symbol :) I usually have a couple painted teal pumpkins at the corner. It's called The Teal Pumpkin Project. My kids are super lucky, but I try to give this group a shout out every year to raise awareness.
  2. For anyone who is keeping up, yes I had a heck of a time on the other cruise too. This was a very minor sprain just multiplied by walking all day every day. I was cranky at midnight in AK though. Lol our last night, a week of hobbling, I was done. It's my MO though. Something always happens at Disney. Usually I pick up head colds. The kids were concerned but I'm naturally clumsy. It could have happened here or there. Thank you for the well wishes :) I'm back to normal now. The only thing I'd mention is that DCL really needs to add new music. I heard Margaritaville WAY too
  3. No it's not. But I can make sure there is one less concierge cabin available... and did you seriously take a photo of your feet? Lol!!!
  4. What Jody fails to mention here is that he was a professional driver in his former life. He's not only extremely safety conscious, he's instinctually careful, something he's always been even before his days behind the wheel. The first set up also has been considered and at times reconsidered. He might decide not to double tow. The important bits are to consider your route. Plan ahead for your stops and traffic lights. Slow down plenty of space in front and behind. No talking. We don't talk to him, he doesn't talk to us. I might go all day headed to the fort and only speak a handful of words to
  5. Hello! Where are you from? Monte is an unusual name. Have you been to the fort often? We'd love to see some Disney magic photos!
  6. *sighs* I saw the thread title and thought Disney Limitd Time magic was having a zombie walk down Mainstreet. I am muy dissapointedo. Hooray for short queues and quiet pools!
  7. I need a purse purchased. :) I'll send you a PM. I'm after the new haunted mansion purse before October. I'll pre-pay tax, shipping etc.
  8. Not far enough to say I've done it all, but give me 20 more years. I'll be the little old 80 yr old cougar hooking up with a 25 yr old stud muffin to smoke my first doobie right after my first orgy. You know, my math is off. In 20 yrs. I'll only be 57 yr old. Chances are Jody won't let me have an orgy, or be a cougar... *le sigh*
  9. Dillard's carries a nice selection. Coach has their own stores but I also find Coach in Dillard's. In my case a D&B is almost always a win. But I have enough purses, it's easy to tell my style. I want my bag tucked tight underneath my armpit, and unless its Disney, I require brown leather. Best let her pick it out though. We are a fickle lot. :)
  10. Realistically, the longest road trip I've ever made was from Edmonton Alberta to Alexandria La. I think.
  11. From here to the moon. It felt that long. In actuality it was from Alexandria La to Yellowstone National Park.
  12. What I would do is possibly make "rope drop" at DTD an hour or so before anything opens. Photo op without the crowds and lessening the chance to be asked to leave.
  13. Just to say... Therapy dogs aren't considered official special need/service canines. So you may run into a CM who recognizes the vest for what it is and asks you to leave. I believe that the only dogs allowed are active service animals as per law. There are very important distinctions between service and therapy animals. ------- Therapy Animals are not legally defined by federal law. They provide people with contact to animals, but are not limited to working with people who have disabilities. They are usually the personal pets of their handlers, and work with their handlers to provide servic
  14. I'd like to go back to Mariposa Grove… I think I do. Problem is, once we're there and realize Nope, we really didn't want to come back… it's too late eh.
  15. About 8 hrs if you go through Granite Pass. I think 6hrs if you take Powder River Pass. But you have Devils Tower within an hour of that and Crazy Horse national monument within 20 minutes of Mt Rushmore. You are also in the Black Hills, very close to Deadwood and somewhat near Sturgis.
  16. If he knows, will he tell me? I can't remember.
