  1. A couple of years ago I would have answered preferred but now that I am without RV I stay in the cabins. Hopefully I'll be able to start booking preferred sites again in the next couple of years once I find a suitable MH.
  2. Here's a quote from his FAQ: Why does it cost so much? Well, RV's are expensive. The cost is comparable to the cost to reserve a cabin at Fort Wilderness. It is also comparible to the cost for two hotel rooms. The Fort Wilderness camping experience is unique. Has this guy even looked at what it costs for a cabin? Hell the cost per night is as high as a cabin is during peak season then you have to add the peak campsite rate. NO THANK YOU.
  3. The one big problem with this itinerary is no Castaway Cay. That would definitely be a disappointment. The other problem is that the 12 weeks it is in Galveston are during school which makes it tough for parents with school age kids. Still nice to have them within a half a day's drive for at least a little while. I debating doing a Thanksgiving 2012 cruise. I have till tomorrow to make up my mind for the 2 cabins I've booked.
  4. This news just absolutely rocks. :D Disney to start sailing out of Galveston in 2012 By JENALIA MORENO HOUSTON CHRONICLE April 4, 2011, 6:41PM More cruise magic is coming to Galveston. Disney Cruise Line will announce Wednesday morning that the Disney Magic will sail 12 seven-night cruises from the Port of Galveston to the Western Caribbean beginning Sept. 22, 2012. Ports of call include Grand Cayman and Mexico's Costa Maya and Cozumel. Rates for the seven-night Western Caribbean cruise itinerary departing from Galveston will start at $840 per person for a standard inside stateroom, based o
  5. I picked up one of those when I was there in March 2010. Paid a whole $3 for it on clearance.
  6. I just took advantage of Carnival's most recent 72 hour sale and past guest pricing to book a 8 day Western Caribbean on the Freedom sailing from Port Everglades on June 4. I'm using the excuse that it's a graduation celebration for my oldest daughter finishing high school this year but you really don't need an excuse to go on a cruise in my opinion. The itinerary includes Cozumel; Limon, Costa Rica, and Colon, Panama. There are also 4 sea days which I just love. I had planned on driving to Fl but did a search on air fares and discovered that Spirit is going to start flying out of DFW again in
  7. If you ever are in or near Tokyo and have a free day I would have to rate Tokyo DisneySea as a must see park. As Whip mentions Tokyo Disneyland looks a lot like Disneyland or Magic Kingdom. DisneySea on the other hand is a wholly unique park. There are only a few attractions that you will find in any other park, at the moment I can only think of Tower of Terror and the Indiana Jone Ride (not the show). Then there is Hotel Miracosta located inside the park. Next time I'm there that's where I'd really like to stay. Bottom line though, DisneySea is a must see if you are ever in Tokyo.
  8. My favorite attraction was the BraviSEAmo! show at Tokyo DisneySea. This was by far the best show I've seen in any Disney park. Alas, they ended up replacing it with Fantasmic of all things last year. I like Fantasmic, but BraviSEAmo! was a better show and I can't believe they replaced it. It was just another unique aspect of DisneySea and I sure hope they aren't headed down the path to make that park look like any of the others. There are actually several unique and very good shows at DisneySea.
  9. My daughter seconds that idea!!! [move][glow=yellow,5,5]GEAUX TIGERS!!![/glow][/move]
  10. I've been to DL 4 times now. Twice as a kid, once when I was a young single guy, then Christmas 2008 with the family. I really like Disneyland, it has special memories for me. I'll probably be back, but WDW is our favorite.
  11. Is there a Disney World in Texas? I heard they were going to build one. When's it going to open?
  12. So what about the June movie schedule? December? Don't tell me that super snoops around here don't have the information yet. Dang.
