  1. Hijacking back to the original theme of the post. Big controversy over on that other FB site. The golf cart guy posted about why the carts were there and that he doesn't rent at the fort. I only read a few posts, but he's getting attacked because he listed his companies name (advertising) and he's lashing back. Great drama!
  2. They should have a meter to test the signal at the connection on the utility pole. If you left your cable coiled up with a note, they could probably test that also to see if it's open or shorted.
  3. On a regular home oven, you can pull the knob off, and there's usually a plate on the back allowing you to adjust the temp to match the thermometer. Not sure if a camper knob would be the same.
  4. So TCD, tell us how you really feel about your experience... :barf: That's a shame you had a bad time for that amount of $$. We took the grandkids to the character breakfast at the Yacht and Beach Club 3? years ago and the food was great and so were the characters. I think we paid a little more per person, but we more than felt we got our $$ worth. If you feel good about the experience after walking out, then that makes up for paying amusement park/resort hotel prices.
  5. There are a couple that fly around the property some nights. I saw an article that they are good, but they aren't as effective if there are other insects to eat. Same with Purple Martins. I researched last night for solutions. For gatherings on a patio or deck, they said an oscillating fan is the best. Skeeters can't fight the wind. Some said garlic spray, others said it doesn't work. Same with other home remedies. There's a professional strength garlic spray that costs $30 a quart and is good for 2 applications. I wouldn't mind spending the $$ if I knew it would be effective. That seems to
  6. We found one of those on Craigslist, but they seem to need a lot of supplies and maintenance. This was an older model and besides the propane it needs changing/replacing the net traps, some sort of chamber, and the bait cartridges.
  7. Semi camping question, more about long term home usage. What is the best mosquito deterrent you have found for an entire yard, as opposed to personal sprays or that Off clip on fan. Since it's hot here already the Mosquitos are on their way, and I'm looking for something that allows me to use my yard after dusk. We have tried the soda bottle trap, the listerine, Epsom salt spray. None seem to work that great. Looking for a proven winner.
  8. Everyplace I tried to get a food discount I was told it was no good.
  9. To make it look more techie, the Frozen cast will dress in Buzz Lightyear inspired spacesuits! Can't have too much of a good thing!
  10. oooooh, Muppets! I'm glad Disney is starting to do more with the franchise.... I know they did 2 movies but they could do a lot more..
  11. Pulled pork sandwich at the Fort for Halloween. It was at a temporary stand off to the side of the campfire program. It was tasty, hot, and big.
  12. He herds the Neverbeast into Lightning McQueens hauler and they drive to France to visit Miss Piggy at her magazine editors job.
  13. Dole Whip at the Poly. Because it's friggin awesome. Pineapple something at AK TamiTamu Refreshments. DON'T GET IT, nothing like Dole Whip Just read about grilled cheese sandwiches at a stand near Test Track. Haven't tried one but they sound fantastic.
  14. We ate at the Norway buffet years ago before there were any princesses involved. It was my wife and I and 2 of the kids who were in their teens. When the kids saw what was on the buffet I had an uprising on my hands. Luckily the waitress allowed them to get the kids meals and everything worked out. I really enjoyed sampling the different foods that I wouldn't normally eat and I wouldn't be allowed to cook at the house I don't remember if there was brown cheese, but there was a lot of pickled and sauced fish options.
  15. Darth Vader zaps Tink and rides off into the Disney franchise sunset on the Neverbeast .
  16. The ending was unexpected...and gut wrenching Is it as surprising as what happened to Tedashi in Big Hero 6? That was a pretty dark plot twist for a Disney movie!
  17. Good thing about gas (wish I had it at home) is that it does heat quicker, but the best thing is it cools/stops cooking quicker. Something starting to boil over or burn, just turn it down and it'll stop, instead of electric where you have to take the pot off the element. No difference in taste.
  18. Each generation had the music that their parents couldn't understand, Frank Sinatra, Elvis, The Beatles, Prince, etc. I'm sure the caveman thought his son was crazy when he started drumming on a hollow log instead of banging 2 rocks together. But music hasn't been our countries downfall, it's greed pure and simple. I'm all for someone working hard, making a buck and getting ahead. But we lost that in the late 70's early 80's when corporate heads started making hundreds, then thousands times as much as their lowest paid employee, and still wanted more Up thru the 60's and into the ear
  19. BINGO!! I feel the same way. I grew up with the space program also (didn't become an engineer), and was excited to watch the launches on TV. They even rolled TVs into classrooms so you could watch the liftoffs. It was a simpler time back then. The Macy's Thanksgiving parade was a Holiday tradition and the real start of the Christmas Season. Santa arrived all over town that weekend, not back the day after Halloween! Most kids tried to do good in school, some did better than others. Somehow over the years things have changed. Starting years ago kids thought they were going to be sp
  20. I agree with TCD. When I started reading your list, I had to back up to the date to make sure it said March 2015 and not 2014.
