  4. Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights - Disney's Hollywood Studios
  5. You should probably call and ask. I'm not sure if he has a minimum # of days or a daily rate. I've seen some people say that it's probably not worth it to rent off site for just a few days, but it's worth a call to see what Kenny says and crunch the numbers. Let us know what you find out. :popo:

  7. Clearly, because if you'd ever seen "him" you'd know Betty the Yeti was a "she"
  8. It's close, but I have to say for sheer nostalgia and feeling like I'm really truly at Disney World... 1. Haunted Mansion 2. Pirates HM is one where I seem to always see something new. I keep praying the darned thing will break down in the attic for about 20 minutes. Pirates is just classic Disney World to me. More often than not Magic Kingdom is our first park, and we always go left out of the hub to Adventureland. After the first Dole Whip pineapple float, it's onto Pirates. For ride/show quality - it's Expedition Everest all day long. Aside from being a damned fine ride, the theming in t

  10. Yay!! One of the most fun TRs ever. :argh:
  11. It's been a while but coming south on 95 you head into the heart of SOB and it's not far from the exit on the left. Not far from the giant gift shop. Aw, who am I kidding, the whole place is a giant gift shop! :argh:
  12. can't miss the place from the highway - that's for sure :'(
  13. Good to know - thanks! I think we'll definitely put it on the list for this year. I love any excuse to go hang out at AKL anyway.
  14. Last 2 trips (Nov 09 & 10) we've stayed overnight at one of the rest areas between Jax-Daytona on 95S - I think one is around St. Augustine? They're both posted "no camping" and also "nighttime security" We've asked the security on duty both times if we could spend the night. Both times the answer was "rest areas are for resting - just don't put out your slides or setup camp" Both times we pulled in between 8-9pm and left by around 8 the next morning. In '09 there were at least 5-6 other MH/TTs parked there as well. It was relatively quiet, security was parked within view of the TT and t
  15. LOL - yeah, that's kind of why we skipped it. We'd looked at the menu online and DH wasn't impressed. So instead I talked him into Jiko. Now THAT was a meal.... gotta do a review of that next. :D
  16. When: 11/27/10 Who: DH & Me - 40 somethings, fairly adventurous eaters (me more than DH), love seafood and a good steak. We're AP and TiW card holders and use the discounts wherever we can. We had an ADR timed to be there to watch Wishes that night. We arrived about 20 minutes early, and sat at the bar. Narcoosees has a very "Cape Cod" feel to it - very open and airy inside. The bar is actually sunken into the floor so that when you're seated, you're pretty much eye-to-eye with the bartender. All the bar seats were taken so we grabbed a high-top table for 2. They seemed short on bar
