Notice that nobody is smiling in the picture?

I hope you can find someone. Our family did a fishing trip and we loved it. We caught a ton.
I would settle for half a ton. Actually a couple of 7 pounders. :rofl3:

I would love to take a guided bass fishing excursion, but it is really pricey for one person. We will be there 3/24-3/29 and if anyone would want to split the cost send me a message.
Thanks

As long as there's an event going on at the sports complex, they do provide bus transportation, however it's only from select resorts, and the Fort is not one of them.
They are, the 3 All-Stars, Pop, and the CBR.
No trailer trash.

Lou
Is there bus transportation to the Braves games?
Thank you

Not sure where to put this, but Walt's daughter died today in CA. Well known for her philanthropy. RIP

We were trying to go to sleep last night and kept hearing noises like a loud diesel truck near by (we are in 114). My husband started thinking it was someone struggling to back into a site or our AC unit malfunctioning or something. So at 2am he decided to go outside and see what was going on. He said they were putting up Christmas decorations at the Settlement. They had a couple cranes out there and the big tree was up and lit. They were putting up garland on he store when he was looking.
We haven't wandered out of the RV yet, but I'll snap some pics when I do.
And 114 is a great spot, luv having the private pathway to the Settlement, Dock, and Beach.

What TCD says. Caught a decent crappie/bluegill/sunfish on a piece of hot dog in the pond to the left of the meadow dock. Saw lots of ripples and splashing in the big canal by the bridge to the meadow from the 1500 loop. Also a camping neighbor caught a lot of catfish in the canal behind 1500/1800. Hot dogs last about 1 cast, then they fall off or get eaten by the minnie fish.
Cut piece of 'dog about 1" then push shank of hook up from the bottom until hook is in the 'dog, then attach to line.

I would suggest that if your main interest is time in the parks, but you want to stay in The Fort, take a cabin. If you want to include a camping adventure, then get the RV.

It could be easily modified to be vegan. Just eat the tater tots. :rofl3:
My wife who is a vegetarian, not vegan, went into a restaurant and asked if they had a vegetarian menu, was thrilled when they said "Yes Ma'am, we have a whole vegetarian buffet". They took her outside and let her graze on the lawn.
-
Is there a vegan recipe?

That new breed of business school graduates are a callous bunch. I think I will boycott Disney at least for next year.
I'm going to boycott until we go back.

So far, it looks like there hasn't been a group yet whose MagicBands have worked flawlessly.
It's nice of all of you to be Disney's human guinea pigs. I hope that they are compensating you for all the time you've been spending in guest services and at the front desk.
I am amazed by the fact that they are sending multiple sets of MagicBands to people with multiple reservations, and providing them to guests who don't have park tickets.
I would wonder how much this is costing Disney, but they've already told us that they have spent over a billion dollars on this project.
Wow. For that kind of expenditure I would have expected them to work a little better than they have so far.

Maybe they hired the same guys that did the healthcare web site.

Stayed our first week at the Fort and are going back. Looking at annual pass.
"Enjoy 365 days of magic. Annual passholders can come and go as they please through all four Theme Parks for an entire year.* Even hop around from Park to Park on the same day, or choose to do even more with a Premium Annual Pass"
This is what it says, seems like a really good deal for $609, compared to tickets, hoppers, etc. Do you get some type of hard card just to carry and go wherever you want? Is there a downside? Am I missing something?
Thanks

I doubt if anyone was ever disappointed because they had too much truck, but a lot have been if they didn't.

Is there bus transportation to the Braves training camp?
Thanks

When you go down the road and see a gazillion people pulling every possible contraption you realize, it can't be that tough.
-
We like 100 ,close to the Trails End and marina . Pulled pork for breakfast , OH BOY !
And the little "private" path to the beach and dock is pretty cool.

Has anyone taken one of the fishing charters? If so, how was it?

I have no experience with long trips but we are planning our first oneto FW next April. From advice on here, we are going to do about 10 hrs on day one, staying right around the I-75 & I-10 intersection. I am going to try to get a pull through site and not even disconnect the truck. Then on day two that will leave us about 3.5 hrs till we get to the fort. Go to wecamphere.com and you can trace your whole route and see camp sites along the way.
We have stopped at the KOA at Wildwood as a staging point for the Fort, decent place and within yards of the highway.

Left north of Dayton OH at 6PM, backed into our spot at the Fort 11:10 am next morning. 2 fuel stops, 1002 miles. Left lane all the way.

Bring a chain saw, there is plenty of firewood right behind your site.
