  1. Site 1517 December 2004. 2 9x9 dome tents 2 11x9 collapsible shelters I flew in with this stuff and an ECV (not in picture) This was before Magical Express so used accessible Mears van and the Ft. Wilderness folks took me to me site and picked me up.
  2. Site 2020, December 2006 I don't back up :parrot: so quite easy when I disconnected the utility trailer and pushed it in No drop off from the "pad" was able to extend the edges of the tents outside the pad. 13x13 Coleman 3 room tent 2 10x10 EZ-Up type shelters 2 9x9 dome tents 1 11x9 collapsible shelter over grill (where I put the mini fridge and parked the ECVs) Brought it all down in a Ford Explorer Sport Trac and a 5x8 utility trailer. My camping companions were only down for a few days and they flew in. The comfort station was directly across the street and down a short path.
  3. I dunno Rhonda. I think when we first booked I did a search on wyndhamrewards.com (my preferred hotel chain) and found something for around 80 that included parking and a shuttle. I'll search again and let you know. (I may stay on points and then ask the hotel directly about parking).
  4. Each week Mouseplanet dregs through and finds construction permits. I copy those relevant to Fort Wilderness here!! Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground Campfire area ? electrical work.
  5. Fill some gallon milk jugs with water and tie them to the legs.
  6. I'm pretty close.... I think I'm missing Victoria & Alberts House of Blues Wolfgang Puck Fresh (Swolphin) Toy Story Pizza Planet Epcot - The New Mexican Place and Tutto Itallia, (but have eaten at the previous Alfredo's) Jiko Shula's (Swolphin) BlueZoo (Swolphin) Mickey's Backyard Barbecue Il Milino (Swolphin) Polo Campero Fresh A Peel Paridiso 37 OK, so there were more than I thought. Also, I'm sure there are serveral snack stands I haven't visited.
  7. I'll second that recomendation!! We had a sortof anniversary dinner there last year. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding and the atmosphere was WAAAAY less hectic than California Grill. We had a bar drink apiece, Rick had the Surf & Turf and I had a seafood dish (don't rember exactly). Everything was EXCELLENT. We also had a bottle of Fess Parker and shared a desert and saw the fireworks right from our table. I'm sure we also had an appetizer. (I always have any type of seafood chowder any restaurant has on their menu!!) Our bill with TiW was about $200, BUT it was wort
  8. My hands down favorite is Carousel of Progress!!! However, I really enjoy Toy Story Mania, but don't get to ride it very often, cause I won't wait in long lines, and it's hard to get my better half out of bed really early!!
  9. I did this in April 2009 and the experience was awesome!! FYI, we wandered past this last night and the actual name is Characters in Flight!! (Flights of Wonder is a show in Animal Kingdom, we saw that yesterday also)
  10. Some folks think Free Dining is the end all in great deals, but I found a deal that beats this hands down, and it is offered ALL of the time. Ever heard of Disney's Premium Plan or Disney's Platinum Plan?? Those plans have all the meals included, lots of tours included, LaNouba is included and the list goes on and on!!! Premium Package Details: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2011Premium.pdf Platinum Package Details: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/media/wdw_nextgen/CoreCatalog/WaltDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2011Platinum.pdf Now obviously,
  11. I stayed there for one night once. It was awesome!!! I was there to make sure I could walk to the Studios for when they had the "Walk In and Win" day for Millionaire. I was upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. That was awesome!! I spent the evening in the hot tub!! Like I said it was for one night, and I had to be out the door at 4:30 AM to get in line to try to get on Millionaire. (Didn't even get my number drawn, but I did get some tickets to the Millionaire tapings and saw Meredith Vierra in person). It was a fun experience.
  12. My Fort dates this year so far are.... July 2nd - July 10th November 25th - December 11th And of course, ya'll know us, whenever the work schedule, funds, and the stars align we tend to show up also!!!
  13. We're driving down on Saturday before the cruise and staying at a "park and cruise" hotel the night before. We're at Port Orleans French Quarter for the rest of the week after the cruise.
  14. So far I've stayed at: Amy's South Georgia Campground at Exit 60 in Georgia (Only so, so) Forsyth KOA, just South of Atlanta (Not to bad, level pull throughs, nice bath house) Eagle's Roost RV Resort, Exit 5 in Georgia, This is a good one! https://www.eaglesroostresort.com/ When Rick comes with me, we usually stay in a hotel on the way down. We usually stop at the Ramada at Exit 62. www.wyndhamrewards.com is my favored chain of hotels for when I'm on the road.
  15. I painted the trim on my camper. Fortunately it is plastic and removable. It was bright red. A couple of cans of Rustoleum Paint for Plastic did the trick. Then I got some Blue vinyl and did some Mouse Ears, and our name, then our beloved Jenn made me a Musket Mickey with some of my vinyl http://mouseketab.blogspot.com/2007/08/what-was-red-is-now-blue-and-mouse-ears.html The good thing about this is if I ever do decide to sell, I just take a blowdryer to the vinyl, change out the cabinet knobs, and then it is generic T@B again (but custom Blue)
  16. I am at Disney now by a weird fluke of work, travel, and weather. Rick (and now me) are showing a good friend of ours around Disney and her 2yo grandson. This child has been a total delight to be with and we are having a Grand time. But, having never had stroller aged children at Disney, never realized what a pain in arse it is!!! Put the child in the stroller, take em out for every line, find the stroller parking. Trying to decide if you want to deal with squirmy butt for even a 15 minute line, then once you get off the attraction, trying to find where Disney has moved the stroller. [move]
  17. Alright Al, you already messed up, you KNOW you spell out the words first THEN apply the acronym :-P Like this Subject Matter Expert (SME). From then on, you can use the acronym cause it has been defined!!

  19. I stopped at this place overnight on my way to Indiana one trip. Seemed like a nice friendly place with local talent concerts on Friday nights http://www.nashvillecountryrvpark.com/ Pictures at: http://mouseketab.blogspot.com/2010/08/starved-hollow-sra-indiana-tb-rally-aug.html
  20. I agree with all of this, at some point we (hopefully soon) we are no longer the (previous board) banished, but a vibrant and fun group that loves sharing information about Fort Wilderness, and Disney in general, sharing our lives with each other, gathering together, camping, and having fun at Fort Wilderness (and any other place we can get together).
