  1. not easy to spot. i was told to watch for loss of appetite, restlessness or irritability and increased heart rate. she a food hound and loss of appetite would definitely take us to the vet! lol they both can still see fairly well. sometimes they don't find the treats we give them and we have to point them out to the girls. we have added some night lights to different areas of the house which also has helped them. but, they are aging really well. i'm hopeful that this drug does as it should and she (and i) can live happily.
  2. well, she's been on it for 24 hours and seems to be doing good. i know it sounds kinda funny but, i've noticed she seems happier than i've seen her in a long time. i didn't realize she didn't seem "normal" lately. but when you seem them change for the better you know there was an issue. i can't say for sure it's the pill. but... my thinking is that she is finally sleeping through the night and isn't being worried about her leak all night long. so, she is in a better mood when she is awake. i'm glad to hear there's been someone on this proin stuff and that had success, Monique. so
  3. i was given proin. she will get a 1/4 tablet twice a day. it is suppose to tighten the muscle and this will prevent leaking. i said-how does a pill do this. all she could tell me is it is all about the chemistry. <<shrug>> so, we are trying it for two weeks and will watch to make sure she doesn't have any side effects. at about the end of the two weeks she will go to the groomer and we will have her back side all cleaned up (better than i can do) and we'll see. first to make sure she doesn't have side effects. so, we'll see what happens over the next 7-10 days.
  4. Okieatheart: I know I won't complain my girls are really doing good for their age. We have ramps (3) in the house for them to get up on the furniture. Two of our dogs had knee issues and these have helped a lot. Funny, Louise started whining ( a few months back) to come up on the bed. For some reason she wouldn't use the ramp. I put a night light at the end of the bed by the ramp and now she uses it. I think she just couldn't see well enough to use it at night. It should just be an age thing and we are going to the vet tonight, caveat. They did say on the phone that they can gi
  5. they are becoming over the hill as old age is starting to show its ugly face with my girls. they will be 14 in a few weeks. thelma is having a "leaking" issue. from what i've read it is probably happening when she sleeps (which is fairly often). so, this week we will be heading to the vet to see what is happening and why. i wash the covers and blankets but, soon they smell again and i'm sure it is her. diapers aren't an option - i've had to use these on louise for bladder/kidney stones? issue and it wasn't fun. plus you need to change them really often to keep infections away. it wo
  6. We bought our gc new and love it. we use it all the time-even at home. the fold down back seat is great for hauling "stuff". we even have an atv trailer we haul around with it. our cart was brand new and set up the way you see it right from club car. we bought our cart in 2008 and are very happy with it still today. fold down seat, long top and a volt meter? (if i have that right) for an electric cart are good things to have. we bought electric because it is quiet and doesn't stink. i've also heard some folks having gas carts and their seats getting hot. club car is also built wi
  7. we have had 3 truck campers, a jayco seneca similar to grumpy and grandmas and now an itasca navion (by winnebago). the truck campers worked well for us when it was just the two of us and our two cats. but, now we don't have cats and have 4 dogs. they are small but they do use up floor space and couch space-lol. we "loved" our seneca. the floor plan was perfect for us and like g&g said we like to have something in front of us. but, as most people on here know - we are always changing things up and it was time for a change. i won't go to anything but a driver. i really like the fi
  8. we use disney transportation when we resort hop. for one-we don't have a vehicle. but, we're on vacation - let them do the driving! we always go to the contemp, poly and lodge. but, we love to go to all of them. those are just the easiest to get to.
  9. we had a 20' (i believe) PJ trailer that we had the vw and golf cart on. the cart went on at the front of the trailer (sideways) and the car behind it. cost us about $2200. we only needed to take the car the one time and a trailer was more practical for us to buy-as we could sell it later if we wanted and we did. the nice thing about a trailer is that there is no wear on the vehicle. we don't take a car with us any other time-that time we went to florida for a month and needed to have one. a dolly like dave has, is something we considered. not sure if we would be happy with that. but,
  10. what about-the fireworks boat ride. someone can correct me but don't they do that. that would be cool!
  11. NOPE! i can honestly say i would need alcohol delivered for a few hours before you could even think of persuading me to go out the roof and into a picker basket!!! Ain't no way! last night i went up in the cab over bed in the mh and could barely figure out how to get back down. SERIOUSLY!
  12. lol-that's funny. i would love to video our dogs when we are gone. but, i know they sleep all day. :)
  13. it'll be better on day 2--i am hoping so anyway. sleep good tonight and we'll all see you in the morning. :hugsmiley:
  14. great tr-so far. i wanted to go to hershey but, the national parks weren't open (yet) when we were leaving for vacation. looks like a good time.
  15. we split meals all the time. but, i have also ordered from the kids menu. they don't know if you have kids sitting and waiting or not. i have never had any issues.
  16. Happy birthday kathy! looks like a great time! it's really cool that you guys shared the stories behind all the campers being sold to one another.
  17. sounds like a great rt with a lot of fiends. so happy to hear jason is getting a pup! i'm glad everything is working out. drive safe cherie and mike.
  18. great tr so far. guess we'll have to go off grounds to get our fresh bakery when we are down there. ohhhh-wait, i can get a starbucks so why would i leave. lol okay---ready for more pics!
  19. i like to sit on the porch and watch everyone heading out to the party... great pics! we can always count on you to give us a dis fix. (sigh) wish i was there...
  20. i don't know if this is pinned or whatever for a quick find. but, jen or chris could we maybe have that for the camping with pets discussion. Either this thread or the other one that was started a while back. I would really appreciate it and i'm sure quite a few others would too. thanks! hoping to hear that the pup is doing well.
  21. hoping everything is okay. get that surgical site stitched back up and wear the cone. i know it sucks to make them wear it. i hope the pup is better soon.
  22. for the most part-it really doesn't matter-i'm at the fort! but, i do prefer premium sites..
