  1. Thanks, Mo. I saw that... that and the golf cart parade ❤️
  2. Gotcha. Simon in a hotel... haha, that's funny Dog's cute, but he's crazy.
  3. Saw this one. What was her name....Nancy, I think. She was on a fb page and told me/others that Disney had overbooked, that they were not going in any particular order (for example, those who booked last month are being called before those who booked last year) and that they would either do this until the numbers balanced or there was a chance when guests arrived, that there would not be a spot for them. Insane. No one has called us (I imagine you would be the one calling me...?). We have crazy pup Simon and a rig, so not as easy for Disney to entice as (for example) a family in a ten
  4. Someone on a fb page posted a "site decoration rules" card, that apparently was handed out to him at the Fort. The last line said, "Giveaways of any kind (e.g. food, candy, toys) are prohibited." Seriously?! I know that they said this last year and that folks still made it happen but really... are they playing that line again this year?!
  5. Okay... I understand. I was thinking that Disney was trying to squeeze out more money.
  6. This is all so stupid. Sorry, I know that's an illiterate response... but I'm just so sick of it. I have my memories and I want the magic to stay. Stupid. I agree... when you loose those who know how to provide service... everything changes. I've said that for the past couple of decades with stores and car dealerships. Sales used to be a career that you were proud to dedicate your life to. You knew your product, you knew your consumer. In most places, that is long gone.... and that is incredibly sad.
  7. Ugh... I know this in my head... but it's still hard to hear
  8. Thank you. Yes, I know... seems like everything can change at a moment, which is what's so hard. Mom and dad are still trying to decide if they want to come down. Mom's health is so rough, but she desperately wants another memory at Disney (or to give the kids another memory). They would want to do a park for a day or two, but there is very little her body can handle (ride wise) and I was watching some videos on the DAS I think it's called? This would be the first time we've even considered that at WDW (mom has always said no, to any sort of assistance because she always said there were
  9. We have a trip planned for halloween and into the month of November. I know that last year, the Fort tried to say no to trick or treating, but that families said yes. I'm hoping this year, that the golf cart parade will be back. Does anyone have any info on this? Also, for the first time in my life... we are considering Universal park tickets instead of Disney. Crazy for me to even say that, but I'm sick of where our country is at with the fear mongering and ridiculous policies that present little (if any) in regards to "health". Universal does not require you to cover your face.
  10. Mandatory retirement... novel idea. Amazing that this applies to only some positions in our federal government. What a fantastic legacy he left you.
  11. I’m sorry, trying to understand... you have to pay extra for a guest assistance past (I’m guessing that’s the handicap accessible type pass)? Agree with you on the pricing...it’s awful 😞
  12. I find that unfortunate. Leaving a career, after decades, is a big deal. Hopefully each of you had coworkers that gave you a good send off.
  13. That’s wrong. A lifetime of commitment. While I understand that none of us works for free, there’s something to be said about the value of a career, value of time dedicated. It’s unfortunate that that was the way they let you leave 😕
  14. We too are praying. Yep. Either it works or it doesn't (understanding that nothing is 100%, but an effective vaccine will be up there). The same as with requiring the shot, to protect those who did not take it. What? Why would that even be a goal? There is no shortage of this shot and each person who wants one, can absolutely get one. So having to "protect" the non-vaccinated is a bs excuse. Additionally, what about natural immunity? This seems to have no weight which is completely absurd. Even if you've had the virus, recovered and now have natural immunity apparently that's no
  15. We have plans to go for two weeks, the beginning of November. We too will not return if masks are required. Masks have always been about control (which we can take to the debate forum) I say this only to point out that now that the shot has been pushed, nothing will change because change means giving up control. Boosters will be required and they will push for papers (passports). America is at a dangerous tipping point. But yeah... not going back. I will admit, this mama broke down last night when I saw the announcement.
  16. That's good to hear. Hopefully the chatter I heard, was random fluff. That stuff/smell gives me a headache. It would be awful to finally get to go back to the Fort, spending all that money and that was our experience. Sigh. The conversations just caught me off guard. I was hoping that wasn't another "new normal".
