  1. Yes, I'm sure the experienced RVers will quickly pull their lawn chairs out, grab their drinks, and watch us as we provide a show :) Just a money thing...
  2. So fiends, we purchased a tow vehicle and are getting ready to tow our camper from the storage lot to our home. Have to say... a little nervous about this. I'm reading everything I can get my hands on and sending out requests to friends for prayer that we don't loose our trailer on 75! Haha... not quite, but... well, almost. Any words of wisdom before our maiden voyage? Anything we should triple check and be extra careful of? I know the camper has a weight distribution hitch and an anti sway bar. I hooked up the brake controller and am praying that I did it right :)
  3. Yes...the camper does have storage tanks, but I was concerned that the bath water may get too full (I guess that would only happen if he had a bath every night). Thanks, Carol, for the suggestion on a blue tank....before you mentioned it, I didn't even know they existed (newbie, remember :) ). Actually.... you want a good laugh?? We were at Camping World a couple of weeks ago looking in their store. I was looking at some kitchen stuff while my husband watched the kids; I could see our youngest out of the corner of my eye. When Carol mentioned the blue tank, I looked it up and showed it t
  4. Did the Fort ever have a dump station? For some reason, I think I remember (years ago) on the main drive in, a dump station? Or at least trailers were always pulled over there....
  5. We have two more trips planned to The Fort this year and both are slated for loop 1500 (hopefully) aka tent/pop-up site. We recently purchased a cute hybrid and my question is water. I know the site has electricity and water, and I know that we do not have access to sewer so we are planning to dump the tank after our stay. Having said that, we will actually use the commode very little (if any) but do have plans to use the tub to wash our youngest and maybe the sink to clean some dishes. Question: Any ideas if Disney will let you drain water at the site? Heck... can you drain water or it
  6. I was going to lower the left side one click, but then it looked lower on the left side...so I left it as it. Hope so!!
  7. Not vertical...tilted a bit on the horizon. I would say 10% to the right.
  8. Okay.... so I purchased the basic controller (Primus IQ) as the reviews were good and our camper is not huge (under 3800 lbs) so I was thinking that this should probably be adequate (hope I wasn't wrong?!). THEN... I actually braved it and installed it myself. Not difficult, except for finding the actual plug which was hidden waaayyyy the heck up under the front dash (who designed that??!!). Question that I have, is if I mounted it correctly. I actually mounted it twice, as after the first installation I realized that it was not facing straight forward (with the flow of traffic) which is
  9. Did anyone else hear of this? Hope they were able to save the fish! :) http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/news/national/large-fish-tank-breaks-disney-restaurant/nfFk5/
  10. Yep. We were there in February (slow time of the year, right?!) and they had NO boxes.... cable or internet. The waiting list was 20+ long and the CM said we might be able to get one, in about 6 days... so right when we were packing up to head back home.
  11. :welcome: Our sweet girl just turned 7. She loves everything mentioned above. She is now too big for the pony rides (sigh), but she still loves, loves, loves: the pool, chip-n-dale and the movie (if it's G as she has a very vivid imagination :) ), the playgrounds and the hula hoops they have in front of the Trails End (restaurant). She also loves watching the boat parade at night and fireworks (from MK).... both down at the beach. Have a magical time!!
  12. Funny.... Tom laughed when I purchased our last tent as it actually had an a/c tab built in (so you could use a window a/c to cool the tent). Of course now we're excited to use the a/c in our little camper...but glad to see that others would actually consider trying to use a/c in a tent :) As for this set-up, I would imagine it could cool... but I agree about the humidity factor.
  13. Thanks. Right now we are looking at a 2006 Infiniti QX56 (I say "right now" as the dealership is suppose to fix a few things before we actually buy It). That car is pre-wired, so we may actually try this on our own. Next question for those of you fiends who like Prodigy.... Prodigy P2 or P3? Which one is best?
  14. Thanks, but I would have no idea on how to install it....?? On the wiring, Infiniti said it should be wired, if that's the case...do I simple plug it in? That makes me nervous as I don't want to do anything wrong. I think we're probably better off having a professional install it. Funny enough, the company I spoke with today said the exact same thing.
  15. Local company installs the : Draw Tite Activator 2 brake controller. Is that a good one??
  16. Haha... we had looked at the trucks and decided next time my husband needs a car (which is hopefully not for at least 5 years) we may want a larger trailer and we'd do both at the same time. Larger trailer and a larger (Ford) truck. So no worries... we may follow that opinion.... eventually :)
  17. Thanks fiends!! You've made me feel much better about our decision. It was the confirmation that I needed :)
