  1. Happy Pi day! Were able to pick up some nice take-n-bake pizzas for $3.14 :)
  2. That is good. With Georgia school closing for two weeks starting on Monday, I'm concerned for those families who will not only need childcare... but whose children were part of the free lunch program. Actually, I'm concerned period as while I am all for being cautious (PLEASE, if you're at risk, be cautious)... how things are being handled now is going to bankrupt some companies and financial break many, many households.
  3. I'm actually hoping that they use this time wisely. They'll have two weeks with NO guests. CLEAN the parks. Paint. Make repairs. Get more done than you ever could possibly under normal circumstances... this is my hope. But... who knows.
  4. Makes no sense. If Disney wants to continue to allow the ridiculously high crowd capacity, then they need to be prepared to do a better job of having crews inspect/repair rides... nightly. I'm sure there is some sort of (engineering) crew there overnight, but (obviously) they need more. I don't know, maybe that approach is to simplistic. So... now the 2+ year overhaul of the big ball has been reduced down to just a few months? Hmmm... okay.
  5. Wow. My kiddos love that ride. As long as they don't touch Living With The Land, I'm good. LOL That's a long time however.... 2+ years? Crazy.
  6. No... Tom doesn't meet us until after Banff I know we've made these trips before, but each time I miss him more. Stinks. We are going to get a notarized letter with dates and his permission for the kids to cross the border with me. Crazy world we live in
  7. Thanks. Yes, I miss the easy days of crossing the border... of course, this if the first time with an RV. It's a bit of a pain so, Banff better be amazing. LOL😅
  8. Thanks. Yes, we're in the process of getting passports and I have documentation of the dog's vaccinations. On food, thankfully Banff is the last stop before my folks house... so we won't have a ton of food with us. We'll be in Banff for 3 nights and then travel back over the border so we'll make sure to eat up any fresh fruits and veggies. I think the biggest hurdle is dairy.. I don't think you can bring that dairy over the border. I'm also getting conflicting information on meat so... we'll probably eat as much as we can before crossing either way. LOL
  9. I've considered it however... because I've already "mapped out" our trip (just don't have it on a full map), I wasn't sure that I wanted to pay for the site. I have read good things about it, however. Thanks for the suggestion!!
  10. Sweet mercy....how absolutely horrible 😞 Joining you in that prayer, Yvonne.
  11. Okay... route is finally finished and necessary reservations, made Wish I could figure out how to get one of those online maps to work (one that holds this many stops); still working on that. I can tell you that we'll be gone almost 8 weeks and travel almost 7000 miles. Here's what we've got (starting at home in the Atlanta area of Georgia.. a couple of quick overnight/dry camping spots not mentioned). Most of these stops are 2/3 nights : Creation Museum in KY Driving through Indianapolis (we may stop at the science museum) Springfield, IL to visit Lincoln Presidentia
  12. Is it sad that what I heard here is.... "the pool is open"?😂 So tired of the wet Atlanta weather.
  13. Sounds good. We hope to hit the NE next year or the year after so.. you never know :)
  14. Fun. The FROG rally that you run, is the one reason I wished we had gone with a Forest River product :)
  15. Where are ya'll heading? Just finalized our (8 week) route; we leave the week of Memorial day.
  16. That was our experience, the first go around. In my opinion... that's how the parties should be.
