    Thanks, Mo.
Baby girl pup was adopted today and to a wonderful, young couple.  Married 3 years, no kids or other pets.  They both grew up with dogs, she fostered dogs in college, he works FT from HOME, they just bought their first home with a FENCED in back yard.   I'm not sure that I could have asked the Lord for a better fit for this pup.  Miss her cute face, but my heart is full.
Next is baby boy pup and sweet mama dog.  Praying that the Lord would bring them their, furever family ❤️

Some of you may have remembered the discussions surrounding Simon, our little pup and the struggles we've had with his separation anxiety.  Exhausting, no question.   With that, I've always professed, that I am NOT a dog person.  Do I like dogs?  Sure.  But am I dog person... no way.
So.. here's this busy mama, who is not a dog person, and I am now in the situation of "fostering" three pups.  A mama and two, 12 weeks old puppies.  Monday morning, we're trying to get out the door and my son yells, "there's puppies in the yard!"   I think he's seeing things so, as any good mama would do, I yell back... "it's probably a big squirrel."    Less than 15 minutes later and we have both pups and the mama.  I blasted all the "lost pet" social media sites, hung signs and then called the county that night around 5p.  The animal control officer shows up and... I can't do it.  Can't send them to doggy-jail.  So, I turn him away but not until he suggests taking mama to the vet to see if she's chipped.   Now it's 6:30p on Monday night and I'm in the car with mama, on the way to the vet.  They scan her and yay!  She has a chip!  I'm excited, but the vet tech says, "don't get too excited."    Vet tech was right.  The owner was located. The owner does not want them.   I know have two options:  doggy jail or find them homes.
This is where I am at.  Here is what I posted online:  It's hard to not get attached. Baby boy is the light brown pup. We've named him Micheal. He is a spitfire and a crack-up to watch. Baby girl is the black pup, we've named her Georgia. Georgia Grace. She is all puppy, but she is a shy pup. Such a sweet girl though when you pick her up. Mama... oh sweet mama. I love this pup. Those owners either a) ignored her or b) were not nice to her. She will literally crawl on her belly to come get love from you. We've spent the past 48 hours working with her and she has really started to come out her shell She is so, SO sweet. She did fantastic in her crate last night, even waited to go potty until we took her out this morning. She does well with kids and so far just gets excited to see other dogs. They are all, wonderful pups. Mama is 2-3 years old. Pups are 12 weeks.
Having these dogs has been SO much work.  But, on my gosh, they are such good pups.  Baby girl may be going to her forever home tonight and I'm already tearing up because yes... dogs are stupid.  Stupid, exhausting little creatures that take up your time and your money.  It's dumb.  But, my heart hurts, which is ridiculous because I am tired and they both need and deserve good homes.
So, next it's on to baby boy... who I think is the friendlier of the two pups and will be (much) easier to train.  He's the dog that will tear into your flowers but crack you up at the same time.  Hard part is...he's a mama's boy, so it's sad to break them up.  And mama... sweet mama.  If I could handle another dog, this non-dog person would keep her.  She is such a good dog.  She deserves the best home.
Ugh.  I'm not going to cry.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments.  Nice to see folks reading along.  I keep an eye on the view counts too, since I am bad about commenting on TR's, I can tell folks are reading along from those counts.
We were now in the window for our ILL on Ride of the Resistance, so we walked back over using the path lower down, below Ronto Roasters and the shops.   There is an area there where you can play with your newly built droids with other folks who also have one.  They talk to each other!  It was cute to watch them for a bit.  That area is near a used landspeeder shop, where Chewbacca was out interacting with the crowd.   I wanted to know why I can never find a NEW landspeeder shop?  All the used ones are so beat up looking.  I think Chewy tried to give me directions to one, but I don’t speak Shyriiwook, and there were no translators nearby.  No joy there.

Our 2nd ride on RoR was also fun.   We were in a car that took a different path from the first ride of the day, so got to see a little of a different area.  The AT-AT room is so amazing to me.   I kind of wish they had animated one to raise a foot and almost crush your car, but that is a minor thing, and I’m sure hard to do / possible safety issue.  Once outside, we stopped at a drink kiosk and bought the fun custom soda and water bottles with the Aurebesh printing on them.   I wish I had thought to buy one before riding RoR the 2nd time, so that I could threaten the First Order cadets with a thermal detonator.   Ah well, next time.

Using Mobile Order, we grabbed an early lunch from Ronto Roasters and picked up a mouse droid popcorn bucket (except ours was full of chicharonnes).  RR only has a wrap or the pork rinds in terms of meat, so we got 2 wraps also and the Tatooine Sunset drinks. We then went into the lightsaber shop, to compare and discuss what accessories we wanted to add to our lightsaber.   Over by the extra Kyber crystals, we met…Emma!  She told us her boss owned multiple stores in Batuu, so she moved around a bit.   Since the shop was slow, we picked up all our extra goodies for the lightsaber we were about to build.  We then went to get in line for the build reservation.

The lightsaber build ceremony was interesting.  My husband was the builder, I was videoing for us.  The area is small, so I had to video from over his shoulder.   The beginning was somber, there was a small history of the Jedi and a ceremony for choosing your kyber crystal color.   It was quiet.  Then they gave the order to build and all hell broke out.  It went from calm and quiet to maximum chaos.  I started laughing at the contrast.   Of course, my husband was lucky enough to be given a broken kit, so he had to have a few parts swapped out.  Once everyone had their lightsaber complete ( hubby was last due to the need to replace parts of his hilt), there was a ceremony to light the sabers for the first time.  That was pretty neat.  Everyone then raised their sabers and took their vows, and it was done.   We got a lovely sheath for the saber to carry it, and decided to go take it to get shipped home right away.

When we went over to First Order cargo to get it shipped, we met up with… wait for it… EMMA!  She pulled us over to a register and in a hush-hush voice told us she was doing reconnaissance for the resistance, and not to blow her cover by mentioning the other shops.  We fell into the role play and asked if the First Order would allow a lightsaber off planet, and she assured us she would give it to ‘the right people’ so it would make it back to our home planet safely.   Little touches like this make the vacation so much more entertaining!
Since our next reservations in Black Spire Outpost weren’t until  evening, we decided to go off planet for some touring.  We went over to Star Tours to grab a shuttle.  I used the LL feature here to bypass the 15 minute line.  The LL was for just 10 minutes in the future, and we took a bit of time to grab a Mickey bar and take a break.   After flying with R2 and C3PO,  we started wandering in the direction of the Chinese Theater.

We stopped by the Indiana Jones stadium to pull the rope on the mine shaft / well / whatever that is. It was fun, and we startled a few passerby. I’m glad that little easter egg is still there. We got in line for our Mickey and Minnie Railway journey, and I was very happy to have purchased the ILL. The line was at 70 minutes. We only had to wait about 10 minutes overall. The ride was a fun little jaunt, but it is not going to become a favorite of ours. We don’t like the new animation of the Disney characters. Goofy is just too scruffy for our liking, we much prefer the older animation. Also, it just wasn’t as much fun as the old ‘Ride the Movies’ ride. Stepping out, I made a LL for Alien Swirling Saucers for about 20 minutes into the future, and we walked into Toy Story land to look around. Toy Story Mania had no available LL options, and we didn’t want to wait in the 50 minute line, so we just took pictures, and enjoyed some people watching. We bought some water to help stay hydrated, as the temperatures were heading into the upper 80’s. Toy Story land suffers from the same issue as the carnival area of Animal Kingdom. Too much heat reflecting asphalt and no shade.

We actually enjoyed the ride on ASS ( sorry, I just HAD to use that acronym once, lol), it was a cute little ride and I love the voices of the Toy Story green aliens. I also like being flung around in circles, so that helps. Afterward, we walked back into Galaxy’s edge and explored the area. We stopped for a photo pass opportunity, and then wandered over to the milk stand and got our blue milk and green milk to try. We opted not to get an alcoholic variety. Both of us prefer the blue milk, which surprised me. Considering what is in them, I thought I’d like green milk better, since I love all thing citrus. But the green milk just tasted too bitter. Maybe they put more grapefruit juice in it than the other flavors? Dunno, but blue milk was the winner, although neither was good enough for us to get a refill.

Then we went into the droid store, so we could considered our ‘extra’ options to purchase for our upcoming droid. That shop was very busy and very noisy, so hearing the sounds of the extra sound chips you can buy for your droid was pretty challenging. They have a BUNCH of extra’s for the droids, more so than for the lightsabers. We checked in for our droid build with the CM holding a clipboard, and waited outside in the shade for our turn.

The droid build was much more chaotic and ‘self serve’ than the lightsaber build. You get in line, pay for your droid and wait your turn. A droid wrangler will come to you with a basket, and guide you to the conveyer belt with all the droid parts. You are shown the instruction graphic so you know which parts to pick, and left on your own. After you choose your parts, you turn around and face away from the conveyer, and another droid shop employee will direct you to your build space. Each build space has a diagram on how to assemble the droid. They are very tight together with others, there is no space to video your builder actually assembling the droid. Also, it is really noisy in there, cannot stress that enough. Not sure if they could put in sound dampeners but wow, I was a little overwhelmed.

When you have your droid assembled, the engineer will come over and get the electronics working, and make sure your droid’s chip and wheel gears are all working. You get a little tutorial on how to run the droid and they pack it up in a nice cardboard case for you. Leave your droid on when you are done, because there are some cute effects to play with. We exited the building, and started walking back to First Order Cargo to ship our droid home. As you pass other droids in the outpost, they talk to each other. Your box may start shaking as your droid discusses whatever news droids find important, with the droids waiting outside their respective buildings. It’s adorable. They will also talk to other boxed up droids if you happen to pass close to someone else carrying their new droid.

Back at First Order Cargo, we were met by a much more stern First Order cadet, who agreed to ship our droid off planet, but first needed to inspect the droid for contraband. (Basically, opening the box to turn the droid off, lol... a fun way to do it). Outside of the shop, we were near the Tie Fighter stage area, and more Stormtroopers were out, being gruff and trying to maintain order. There were a lot of lightsabers out, as it was dusk and they glowed beautifully, making for great photo opportunities with the lighted ship and Stormtroopers in the background. We watched the people for a while.

Okay... lots to catch up.  First, thanks for taking the time to share your trip.  I know it's a lot of work.   We were at the Fort at the beginning of November and did the halloween party at the MK and one day at MGM.  For us, so much feels different... it's a little sad.  But, I still like hearing about the joy others find.  I know this trip was bittersweet, mama.  My heart ached for you when you described the fireworks moment.  I am, again, so sorry for your loss.
Sorry that there were some technical bumps, but all-in-all it sounds like a nice trip.   The comment on the Hall of Presidents made me laugh.  We thought those Star Wars Lego characters were amazing!  But I do wonder if I'm the only one who misses the old DTD.  When we'd go to the Fort, we used to go to DTD 2 or 3 times.  This time we were in the area for 11 nights and only spent about an hour or two in "Disney Springs".  Bleh... just not my thing.  Expensive shops and restaurants and truly a "if you build it they will come" environment because it always feels SO crowded.  To each his own I guess.  Obviously LOTS of people like it    Tree at The Polynesian was really pretty!

I agree with Dave's comment above regarding the hassle of technology.  Then again... I wish Disney would bring back the ride tickets, so you can balance my comment with that knowledge

In broad macroeconomic terms, it’s not surprising that there are more people willing to purchase APs, even at increased prices, than Disney wants to sell.  This is no different than many consumer goods that are sold out and unavailable.  Simply speaking there is more cash in the economy than places or things to spend it on.  The government has added historic amounts of liquidity to the markets.  It has driven stock prices up, and we’ve all seen what the housing market has done.  Same with food, cars…and yes, Disney World.  But never fear, a recession will come and these trends will change.  That’s not a political comment, just an economic certainty.  Cycles are what they are.   Someday APs may be reasonably priced and abundant again.  And we’ll all still be complaining we can’t afford them because we’re broke.  😂

Not stupid at all and not illiterate.
It's our memories that are the most important to us, they sustain us, and they become more so as we grow older.  The biggest disappointment we have about Disney now is how they have eroded that magic to the point you can't find it anymore.
Yes, the ugly price increases have priced us out of many of the things we used to do, like going to the Christmas Party and Halloween, and even staying on property, but I think the really really harsh part is the disappearance of the magic.
The Disney emphasize on maximizing their profit at the expense of the guests/customer/client means that my grand-children will have no experience of the amazement and enchantment that was waiting around every corner for their parents when we took them.  That experience came from CMs who took it as their mission statement to make every GUESTS' experience special.  Because we were guests, and we were treated as quests, not as some kind of ATM.
Makes me sad more than mad I guess.

I too have heard it’s beautiful.  My end game with Glacier, was Banff.  But, who knows when travel into Canada will relax.  We had reservations for both Banff and Glacier last year, but when the border and east Glacier closed, we opted for Devils Tower, Yellowstone, the Tetons and Mt. Rushmore instead (all of which, were FANTASTIC ❤️).  North Dakota should be interesting and another “state sticker” for our RV map ☺️

Surgical masks were developed to protect the surgeon as much as the patient.  The surgeon's face is exposed to fluids, when the surgery is being performed and the patient has an open wound, which nasal/oral drainage and/or sweat from the lip could drop into.  They were not made to stop the spread of a virus and the subject of surgeons wearing masks has been in debate for years.   Even the NIH weighed in on this with a study where they found that, "It has never been shown that wearing surgical face masks decreases postoperative wound infections. On the contrary, a 50% decrease has been reported after omitting face masks. The present study was designed to reveal any 30% or greater difference in general surgery wound infection rates by using face masks or not. During 115 weeks, a total of 3,088 patients were included in the study. Weeks were denoted as "masked" or "unmasked" according to a random list. After 1,537 operations performed with face masks, 73 (4.7%) wound infections were recorded and, after 1,551 operations performed without face masks, 55 (3.5%) infections occurred. "
Several years back, I was admitted into the ER for a case of vertigo.  Being the germaphobe that I am, I grabbed a mask to cover my face, because I am convinced (I'm still convinced) that anyone who goes to the hospital gets sick.  The ER doc came into my room and (looking at me with my mask on), she asked if I was "wearing a mask to protect myself or to protect others".  I didn't want to admit that I was afraid of getting sick, so I sheepishly said, "both".  She chuckled and moved on.  After that, I looked into the efficacy of masks.
The same as the CDC, the WHO, the surgeon general all said not to wear them, as the mask will not prevent the spread (then changed when they realized that control was needed, which is why there are many videos of "leaders" not wearing masks...even right before they put one on for the theatrics of walking up to the podium with their face covered), the same as the CDC stated during the west coast wildfires, " Paper “comfort” or “dust” masks commonly found at hardware stores trap large particles, such as sawdust. These masks will not protect your lungs from smoke."   Masks were made for the large stuff, not the small things like a virus.
"Put a chain link fence up between you and the wall, and maybe only about 20% or less of the balls you throw would make it to the wall.".   A better analogy is, wearing a mask is more like trying to stop mosquitoes with chicken wire.
I do appreciate the conversation.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Sadly, Gwen... yes.  Millions in our country have handed over their freedoms and liberties, in exchange for fear.  Common sense and educated reasoning has been replaced with mindless belief in the main stream media and many in our government.  A virus with a 99.9% recovery rate for an overwhelming majority of our population.  A belief that covering our faces not only does any good, but that it’s only about a virus.  Businesses ran for generations by families, destroyed because we allowed those “in control” to have too much power.  These same people will do as I’ve said for almost a year now... continue to force more control, they will push to mandate a vaccine that will be incredibly dangerous (have you seen the proposed bill in NY?!), continue to drive out the middle class and push billionaires to an even higher status (keep in mind this last “stimulus” gave MILLIONS to Walmart, a company that reported a gain in 2020 over their 2019 earnings).  Unless we (Americans from both major parties) recognize that elections are not honest, that our vote can be pushed aside...then our republic is lost.

If Americans do not wake up, if those living in fear do not step out and realize that they are being lied to, our country will crumble quickly into a totalitarian society.  It will happen and our children and grandchildren will pay a gut wrenching price.  If 2020 showed us anything....it showed us just that.

I'd be concerned about taking your grandson, unless you're prepared to stay at your site.  While they might not say anything, until they drop the mask mandate who knows what could happen.  No doubt it would be very upsetting if you get there and find that they have gone back to strictly enforcing this rule.   I've heard stories of CM stopping guests driving their own golf carts, riding their bike and even a guest walking his dog alone...all required to mask up.  Personally, I find it insane and we will not go back until the mandate is dropped.  I'm not going to put a mask over my children's face.   But, we're okay with not going back... this year we've traveled over 7k miles and spent time in 10 states (outside of the time we've spent camping in our home state of Georgia).  Not only did we not cover our faces, but we were looking at the other smiling faces around us.
Another thing to keep in mind, is I'm not sure if they've re-opened the playgrounds at the Fort??  If Disney has decided to keep those closed, and your grandson loves to play on them, he probably won't understand and it will be upsetting.   Not sure there, but just a thought.
They might not say anything... but if they do, it would be upsetting.    I hope whatever you choose, you're blessed with your time with your little guy.

I really wish the Fort would just go site specific or at least allow you to choose your loop.

Agreed.  Then again, I think this is where we should be, with the entire country. Those governors who are keeping their states closed, it's about control and the amount of damage that they are doing is immense.  This is a virus, people understand that; citizens need to be allowed to make their own choices.
Because it's not about the mask, Mo.  I know you have to understand that.  I don't wear a mask.  Never have, nor do I have any plans to.  This includes not going back to Costco (until they remove the mask requirement)  for which we've been a member of for 25+ years (before it even was Costco as I'm from the PNW).    We've always had viruses, yet never have we been required to wear a mask.  Even the CDC and Surgeon General didn't require masks, until a few weeks ago when (in my opinion) we started to get a better grasp on what this virus was and confirmation on who it was truly affecting, at that point Americans started to panic a little less and started to push for things to open back up.   At that point, the decision came down, that the general public should be wearing masks.  All this does in bolster fear as folks believe they need a mask, to be safe.  This simply is not true... or if it is true, why has it not been suggested (or required) earlier as our country has experienced some brutal flu season that cost America many lives... and those lives were across the board on the demographics, not primarily focused on one group (thus making it easier for a sector of the population to choose to isolate).  As for the argument that I hear some say, well the flu is not an aerosol transmitted pathogen, of course it is.  Even our government recognizes this.  My favorite argument for the differences between SARS-CoV-2 and Influenza, is that 80% (or more) of individuals who contract this current coronavirus, either have mild or no (they are asymptomatic) systems.  All this does, is reinforce that fact that this virus is of no treat to a majority of the population.... which goes back to my original point, Mo.  People are not "losing their damned minds" over wearing a mask, they are angry over the amount of control being enforced and they... we... should be.  In my home state of Washington, the governor has announced that starting this week, he is implementing mandatory testing.  A policy that he is carrying out with such force, that he has the National Guard ready to step in and enforce his rule.  If necessary, they will go door to door.  If you test positive, he says he will remove people from their homes so that they can be forced to isolate at a location that the State of Washington has created.  There are facilities already set up.  They will removed children from homes and place them under the custody of DCYF.  Could you imagine?!   They come to your home, test you, you are positive for this virus (but have no symptoms because most people do not) and they take your children.  Not only are that doing that, but because they are expecting to take so many children and they are in a rush to find adults to watch these babies, the governor has waived requirement for this care givers.  Here is what the proclamation states:
"Waiving licensing requirements for healthcare workers This proclamation waives requirements necessary for health care workers to remain licensed to practice in the state, including ongoing training and continuing education requirements. These waivers will deliver much needed relief to an increasingly taxed health care system, allowing workers to focus on providing care to Washingtonians during the COVID-19 outbreak.   Waiving requirements for child care and background checks This proclamation waives several requirements for licensed childcare workers, including requiring federal fingerprint background checks before completing the licensing process. This responds to an increased need for childcare during the COVID-19 emergency, increasing availability by allowing workers to be more easily licensed to provide care to those who need it."   Fantastic, right?  This should be real good, for the sex trafficking business.  Please do not tell me that this is not happening, the hell it's not.   My family is still in Washington, my friends are still in Washington.... they.are.fighting.... because this is happening.    We all should pray, that we don't have a loved one get sick.  Not only did 1.4 million health care workers loose their jobs in April (which means we should hope that someone, who is qualified, is there to help us if we need it), but family is not allowed in the hospitals.  Two conversations I had recently:  a girl whose grandmother passed away; her grandparents had been married for over 50 years and her grandfather was not allowed in the hospital.  Could you imagine?  You've done this life, with your person, for over 50 years and you're not there there to make sure that they are not in pain, that they are not scared, that they are not... alone.  You don't get to say goodbye, to the person that you've. done. life. with.   They are ALONE.   Another woman who I spoke with, her closest friend just lost their grandbaby.  They were not allowed in the hospital.  They had to stay outside in the parking lot, while their grandchild was inside.. dying.  THIS IS NOT OKAY.  But his is what fear does.  The same fear that tells everyone they must wear a mask, is destroying our country... and not from the deaths is causing, but from the liberties that are being stripped.  It needs to stop.
