  1. Here's what my official Disney book says about the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake...
  2. I use an Android phone and the Photobucket app. Photobucket allows you to access the links of your photos and one touch copy the IMG code. You may have to hit menu or something in the iOS version...not sure.
  3. Thanks for the compliments. We went to Peg Leg Pete's on Friday night. The other nights were spent cooking at the camper. Won't be there for Halloween. We are going Thanksgiving week this year....nope, we don't decorate. Must be someone else you are thinking of. Thanks....and I know nothing of any bars. I will PM you my secret shaded site #. Thanks! They were gently carressing biting ants....bastages.
  4. Disclaimer....This report is a mix of old pics and two recent ones...sorry for being lazy. Onto the report...we had planned on leaving late Thursday night and driving part of the way down, but the stormy weather made me decide to wait until morning. We got up at 4AM and somehow managed to get the kids up (DD's 4 & 5) and dressed with minimal fuss. The kids had been so excited about going to the beach that they were wide eyed and ready. By 430 we were at our shop to pick up the camper. I had worked a little each evening on the camper for the last week. By Thursday evening I had it packed up
  5. Woot Woot! We have a great shaded site. Sitting at Peg Leg Pete's now with a buzz.
  6. If a salesman's lips are moving there is a good chance lies are being told.
  7. Wow....that is a very generous offer. I do want to buy some for future trips. I have been looking at the Pelican Apex 100. I was wanting to keep them at 10' or under so they will fit in the garage of the TH. I've been checking Craigslist hoping to save some $$$. I may take you up on that offer if we don't have them by then. I could haul it back to the Fort later in the week, if needed.
  8. Thanks for the info. I do plan on mtb'ing on the trails. Hopefully, we will have 2 kayaks by then to explore the river.
  9. Well, it's been a while since we have camped somewhere other than our local CG. Our trip to Cloudland Canyon was cancelled due to the tornadoes. But it's almost time to head down to Fort Pickens. We are rolling out Thursday after work and driving part of the way. I plan on overnighting at a rest area or truck stop, then we will roll on in to the CG. We have not camped there before, but I have visited. I know the CG lost a lot of trees due to the hurricanes, but I picked out a relatively shaded site using Google and pics on the reservations website. The long range forecast looks good. We are al
  10. Well, I made a ressy for 2 nights (Nov 19 and 20). We will be headed to the Fort afterwards for a 8 day stay during Thanksgiving. I think this will be a nice way to start the vacation.
  11. You need to send that to these guys. http://www.thescambaiter.com/
  12. Has anyone stayed here? It looks nice on their website. They have bike/hiking trails, a museum, historic village, river access, etc. I was thinking about taking off 2 days early for our Thanksgiving trip to the Fort and spending them here. It's only $24 a night for a site. I may even buy a couple of kayaks and throw them in the toyhauler. I could see myself biking and paddling a few days here. http://floridastateparks.org/silverriver/default.cfm
  13. Topsail has cabins and newer larger cottage sized houses. The cottages do not have very much shade though....fwiw
  14. woot for the photo TR but EDIT.... I can see them now.
  15. I can confirm that yellow flies love horizontally (slow) moving black objects. Last summer I was visiting a buddy's farm for dirtbike riding. When I would drive down the trail to the track yellow flies would swarm the black plastic mirrors on my white F250. It was crazy. There would be dozens on or around each mirror.
  16. I was pulled over there back in 05. I think that the speed limit there is 35, and I believe that I was pushing 50. My wife and I were headed to WL for breakfast. My wife was pregnant and really showing it. When the cop asked where I was headed my wife said "Wilderness Lodge and I have to pee really bad". :rofl2: He handed my license back over and said "slow down and be careful". :parrot:
  17. I am working more overtime to put back $$ for vacations. We also have cut back on our restaurant visits, but that needed to happen for healthy living anyways. We already tended to camp at local spots, so that really hasn't changed.
  18. I just bought a screen room enclosure for our EZ UP. Skeeters are already bad enough here to justify it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170507328065#vi-content
