I just booked our June 2014 trip. Staying for 8 nights...6/21-6/28...leaving on the 29th. average cost for a full hookup site was 94.00 a night. Not really thinking that it is worth it!!! We ( wife and 2 boys) only go to the water parks a few times while we are there so we don't really need to be close to anything. I love camping at Disney but I can book somewhere else very close by for half that price....yes it's not the Fort but......the beer is just as cold in my cooler there as the Fort.....and the rain is just as bad. Thoughts anyone???

For us it is worth it. Love the Fort! We go to the parks a few days & the rest of our days mess around the fort, Downtown Disney & resort hop, go to the Poly for dole whips. We go to the campfire maybe watch a movie and/or make s'mores. It's just so relaxing & yet lots to do at the Fort. Guess you just have to decide if you would have as much fun at the other campground.

For us, shedding the car is the beauty of the Fort. If we stay offsite, we have to drive everywhere. If we are at the Fort, we can go looping, stop by the trading post, go to the movie, or go to the beach and just chill. We do go to the parks, but feel we have the freedom to go for an hour or two if we so choose. If we're staying offsite, we tend to go all day and wear ourselves out. For us, the extra money is worth it. Plus there are usually other Fiends around and if not already planned, impromptu cookouts usually pop up.

We find that by the time we add in the cost of parking each day, and the ability to come back to the camper for lunch and a nap, that helps with the cost of the Fort.  And x2 on the memories, esp with the kids and g'kids.
