Fort Wilderness Cabins - Pet friendly?

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

For our annual Christmas (tent) camping trip, we normally board them at "Best Friends". But this year we will have our first non-furry child with us (we are expecting our first baby any day now), so we rented a cabin. My question is, Does anyone know if the cabins at FW are pet friendly?

thanks, best regards,

ECKusch

It puzzles me why they ended up taking the kennel out of the Fort.

It's not like they utilized the space for something else.

It was a lot easier for campers to just go out front to visit than it is for them to travel down the street.

The could've expanded it to the same size as Best Friends.

As I understand it, t's not DISNEY'S anymore it is run by a private company.

IIRC they were supposed to, with that being part of the plan for moving the stables ...which never happened.

I think Disney wanted out of the kennel business period, since they closed all of the park kennels too.

I'd imagine they made a sweet deal with Best Friends, since it's on Disney property.

Figures, profits before looking out for guests.

I'm sure bean counters made a fantastic presentation as to why closing the Fort kennel and turning it over to an outside company was a great deal.

But they forgot that the Fort kennel was convenient.
