We ate here a couple of weeks ago. I'm not generally a huge fan of asian food, but I am now a huge fan of Morimotos! Here are a couple of pics from our meal.   These ribs are fantastic! I ate some tha

Ed just posted this pic. I should have taken my sorry butt with him!

That place looks a LOT better than PF Changs.     I love me some Peking Duck!  But I rarely get to enjoy it anymore.  I guess it's true what they say....you Dim Sum, you lose sum.

Morimoto Asia posted their menu on their FB page.  The entrees are pretty much as expensive as I expected, but everything else - sushi, noodles, soups, etc. - is not that bad!  Especially not if it's going to be as good as I hope/expect it to be.  :)

It doesn't look too bad. The entrees are on the high side but some of them aren't that bad by Disney pricing standards and are pretty close to what I would see around here. It's nice to see they have some stuff in the sub $20 to $30 range so makes it more a place I ant to visit when we get down there.

I'm still waiting to see the Sushi Bar menu.

From Disney Parks Blog.  Official opening is tomorrow...

It’s official – the name change from Downtown Disney to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort, and the opening of Morimoto, the newest venture for Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, and his first restaurant featuring Pan-Asian cuisine.

With everything from pristine sushi to noodle bowls, this cuisine is the real deal. And the knockout dining room includes a private, glass-walled dining space, a lounge, outdoor terrace and a sushi bar sculpted from hand-selected ash wood and hammered copper.

Check out the video for a look at the gorgeous interior. For reservations, call 407-560-6686 (reservations through 407-WDW-DINE begin Nov. 1). Hours are daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. serving lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

By the time it’s complete in 2016, Disney Springs will double the number of shops and restaurants currently found at Downtown Disney and grow to more than 1 million square feet, including 350,000 square feet of new leasable space. Disney Springs will include four distinct, outdoor neighborhoods with a high-quality, diverse mix of retailers – including premium, affordable luxury and fast fashion options. Sophisticated restaurants will provide experiences for families and convention-guests alike.

An opening day review from Disney Food Blog...

Excerpts...

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you! That’s Chef Masaharu Morimoto himself, present for Opening Day (and possibly offering up the greatest photo bomb of all time)!

Both the Rock Shrimp Tempura and Tuna Pizza are two of Chef Morimoto’s signature dishes, and they lived up to expectations (though we didn’t pick up on much of the suggested spice in the Tuna Pizza).

Speaking of signature dishes, we couldn’t resist ordering the Morimoto Peking Duck.
