Are you suggesting that the Fiends should rise up, mount their golf carts and go to war?

There's an idea. Maybe some artistic type can replace the musket mickey in the Disney Ft. Wilderness Campground logo  with a Na'vi holding a stick and that'll be the new logo.

Coincidentally, beginning this fall Mickey's Backyard Massage Parlor and Casino will begin offering the Naughtily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party.  Enjoy a buffet dinner at Minnie's Ho Down Smorgas

Can't change it, can't stop it, enjoy it while you can, that's my plan.

Just saw someone over on facebook posted video of them tearing down the Mickey's Backyard BBQ pavilion building with a backhoe. Heartbreaking.

I’m here now. Mickey’s Backyard BBQ is now a pile of rubble.

Um... I'm pretty sure that can be arranged.  😎

The worst I heard was some tree chipping. I'm hopeful it stays that way.

I clearly remeber everyone was beside themselves about the villas at the lodge.  It looks as if they almost grew there now....they do a pretty good job when they try.

I agree the lodge looks really nice. Although I noticed on our last trip there are a few of those lake front cabins that I would not want. Every body on the boat from MK can see right in them. The other cabins closer to the Fort would be fine.

I also agree that what they did at the Lodge is, overall, nicely done, and I've somewhat defended Disney in that regard earlier in this thread.  I'm sure what they do with Reflections will be beautiful.  But based on the plans we've seen over the past month, in particular the eastern most group of cabins, I think an accurate comparison would be to imagine they had built Lodge cabins across the area where the geyser sits, from the boat dock to the Geyser Point bar, blocking the unimpeded view from the pool and lobby.  That I think would approximate the impact we'll see to the Settlement.

Pretty close to the same at the Poly when it comes to the boat from the TT&TC to the MK.

Just got back from a week and a half at the Fort. So far the construction does not cause any problems for camping.  But not saying it's a pretty site.

Returned back from the Fort a couple of days ago. So far, I'd have to say that the impact to the Fort is minimal, so here's hoping it stays that way. So much so that I retract some of my Negative Nancy sentiments. 🙂

Good to hear so far.  Thanks all!

I think you are correct on all counts.

Here are some pictures taken today of the area formerly known as River Country.  The first 3 pictures were taken where the River Country Entrance used to be (near Clementine's Beach):

This picture shows how you can now see the Contemporary from the horse barn:
