Now more than ever is the time to book a Walt Disney World vacation, especially since hotel accommodations will be the least of your worries! Walt Disney World is known for its wide variety of on-property resort hotels. And this week, the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando have been added to Disney’s list of official Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

The two hotels, which are located as close to the Walt Disney World theme parks as many other Disney hotels, shared the news on Twitter on Friday. And with the official Walt Disney World name comes an awesome perk that guests at these hotels haven’t had before: Extra Magic Hours.

Waldorf Astoria Orlando is now an Official Walt Disney World® Hotel! #NowMoreThanEver we’re bringing more magic & memories to your #vacation with Disney Extra Magic Hours benefit with valid #themepark admission thru Dec 31, 2019! Visit http://bit.ly/WAOMagicHours  for details.

The wait is over! As an Official Walt Disney World® Hotel, we're bringing more magic & memories to your vacation -- resort guests now receive access to Disney Extra Magic Hours benefit with valid theme park admission thru Dec 31, 2019! learn more at http://bit.ly/HBCMagicHours

That’s right. Those who frequent Walt Disney World know that staying on property at a Walt Disney World hotel brings several perks, including Extra Magic Hours. Extra Magic Hours are select times each day when guests at Walt Disney World hotels have the opportunity to visit the theme parks either before they open or after they close. During this time, the parks are only open to official Disney hotel guests, and those who are staying off-property at hotels that are not officially part of Walt Disney World do not have this benefit.

Before the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando became official Walt Disney World Resort hotels, they still garnered attention from Disney visitors because of their close proximity to the Disney theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, and other beautiful and fan-favorite hotels on property. With the added benefit of Extra Magic Hours, we wouldn’t be surprised if Disney fans became more inclined to book either of these two hotels for their next Walt Disney World vacation. Now, the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando are among several hotels at Walt Disney World that share the benefit of Extra Magic Hours without being owned by Disney.

Neither Disney nor the two hotels have shared other new benefits that come with the official Walt Disney World Resort hotel label. So far, it looks like the only new benefit is Extra Magic Hours. Guests staying at either of these two hotels will still have to wait until the 30-day mark to book their FastPass+ reservations in advance, whereas guests staying at Disney-owned hotels can book their FastPass+ reservations 60 days in advance. This benefit is a reason why many Disney fans continue to choose Disney-owned hotels over others like the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek and the Waldorf Astoria Orlando. We’re not sure if Disney plans to extend this benefit to the other hotels in the future.

For more information about the Waldorf Astoria Orlando, visit the hotel’s page on the Walt Disney World website or the hotel’s official website here.

Great.

Extra Magic Hours are already pretty worthless because they're so crowded.

But that helps Disney sell the paid after hours events.

Disney always wins.

Agree X2.

Our condo/timeshare is next door to these hotels at Wyndham bonnet creek. We been over there several times for drinks and dinner. Both are really nice hotels. Excellent bars, pools, golf course, and restaurants. And being closer to DHS and Epcot then several Disney hotels they have great views of their fireworks.

We needed to go over there our trip in October because we needed something printed, signature witness, and notarized. They have a FedEx Kinkos onsite. Very nice place the little we saw.
