Those of us who carp about Christmas coming earlier and earlier every year might as well go hide under the carpet, because Universal Orlando has decided to celebrate Earth Day by announcing the dates for its 2019 Holiday celebrations, including Grinchmas, the Holiday Parade featuring Macy's, and Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This year, the holiday season at Universal Orlando will run all the way from Nov. 16, 2019, through Jan. 5, 2020. Special entertainment confirmed to be returning to the resort includes "The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle" light show in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, and the "Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular" musical, both in Islands of Adventure. At Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy's again include the Minions, and Mannheim Steamroller is coming back for live concerts on select nights. Seasonal food, including hot Butterbeer, will also be back in both parks. All of Universal's holiday celebrations are included in standard park admission. Once upon a time it didn't start until well after Thanksgiving. I remember because we wanted to check it out a few times but we weren't going to be there that long.
