Walt Disney World is launching a new 'Mid-Day Magic' ticket today, allowing access to the parks after 12pm.

The ticket comes in various options between 2 and 4 days in duration, and is priced by date. Example pricing:

• Mid-Day Magic Ticket - Admission after 12pm at the 4 theme parks for $160.88 for a 2 day ticket
   
• Mid-Day Magic Ticket with Park Hopper Option - Admission after 12pm to the 4 parks with park hopping ability for $230.88 for a 2 day ticket
   
• Mid-Day Magic Ticket with Park Hopper Plus Option - Admission after 12pm to the 4 parks with hopping ability, and water parks, Oak Trail golf, and Mini-Golf for $250.88 for a 2 day ticket

For a shorter visit, probably a time saver, but with a 10-day ticket, we will come out cheaper for the full tickets.

Other important things to note. Fastpasses are at 30 days with these. And in the information provided to TA's they acknolwedge these may be better suggested to offsite guests. They cant be added to a reservation just a straight purchase

Not off the top of my head but I will check. 

Also an on-site guest with these apparently still gets the 60 day fastpasses due to the on-site stay.

Disney World’s new discount ticket 'deal' keeps you out of the parks until they're absolutely packed

 

Walt Disney World is now offering guests a discounted ticket option, but you can’t set foot into a theme park until it’s completely packed. 

The new ticket option, called the Mid-Day Magic Ticket, is available starting today and good at every Disney World property. It allows guests a slightly cheaper deal, but the only catch is you can’t enter the parks until noon.

The deal also varies on price depending on exactly when you go, and is not available for single-day passes. For example, right now a four-day pass starting today can be bought for $77 per day, rather than spending well over a $100 for a full day, plus tax. 

We’re not sure exactly who the pass is marketed toward. If you’re a local, it’s still way cheaper to just get a four-day Florida resident pass, which can get the prices down significantly, like to $55 a day. Plus, you can go all day. 

But Disney says the new half-day ticket deal is designed with “your flexibility in mind, with timing that helps meet your needs – like, say, a couple more hours of shut-eye, or maybe a leisurely brunch.” 

Either way, the ticket deal comes just weeks before the debut of Star Wars: Galaxies Edge on Aug. 29, and a few weeks after the company announced a 3% attendance dip.

On the website it specifically says it does not hve to be used on consecutive days but they do have to be used up with in the date range.  A 2 day ticket gives you 4 days to use it. For example purchased for the 22 is good through the 25th.
