Hey all! I’m new to FF but not new to camping at Ft. Wilderness!

We just came back from a week stay at the Fort. We’ve never stayed in the 1500 Loop but always request it! This trip, we biked around and decided to check out the 1500 Loop. It was totally empty! No tents or campers anywhere. Does anyone know why? Thanks!

Since they have limited staffing we've heard that they are filling loops as needed instead of scattering people all over. if 2000 wasn't full there would be no reason to put people in 1500. Someone said that 700 was also empty last week IIRC.

They did the same in the cabin loops. Our daughter and family were there and numerous loops were unused 2500 being one.

We stopped over there last night and 1500 was open.  They are doing work in some loops.  The 700 loop is now closed and they are replacing the timber that line the pads.  Also, in the 1900 loop (I believe) they are replacing an entire pad with new concrete.  That loop is open though.  They've done a lot of work as well lately installing 5G.

we were told yesterday that the 2000 loop will be closing soon.  The 500 loop was just opened.  Across the property they are upgrading the electrical system and they've had some scheduled short power outages.  But the loops are remaining open during the power upgrades.
