Halloween Golf Cart Parade entry questions

I'm hoping some folks here have answers to golf card parade questions I can't find online. I've never been but we are thinking about participating someday...

• Can music/sound be used on golf carts if one had a battery powered speaker system?
• When does judging happen and are there prizes for winners? (aside from bragging rights, of course)
• Any advice in reserving a 6 person golf cart? I hear those are first come first serve.

Does anyone have any instructions from past golf cart parades with rules,etc?

How early do you have to assemble with the others and how long does the parade last?

Any advice tips or stories anyone would like to share? What might you have done differently if you'd known something earlier?

Let me see if I can help you out.  I do apologize that it has taken this long for someone to answer you.

 

Music:  I have seen many carts use music.  I am sure if it is not too loud, it is definitely do-able.

Judging:  It is done along the parade route and the winner is announced at the Hoop De Doo building.  The prizes have been in the past Hoop Dee Doo tickets for the winner.

6 person carts are first come first served, however, I saw a lot more of them (like 10) lined up ready to go this morning when we left property.

What specific rules are you wanting to know about.  They usually allow a bunch of stuff.

You can start as early as you want to assemble.  I started working on my cart in the past the day before.  However, I was never going to be in the running to win.  I don't have that much time on my hands to make the carts look awesome!  lol

The only thing I would do differently is find the time to make a super cool cart.  I haven't found that amount of time yet, lol.
