I know why you would think that, but I actually did take that photo.

I just bought one of my DD's a new Fuji waterproof camera to replace one that accidentally got dropped off of the side of a boat. This one has a floating handle.

I was out in the water with Rocky trying out the new camera, and experimented with some different angles. Most of the photos were awful because my subject was constantly on the move. This shot happened by accident as Rocky was swimming by. I really like it- note how Rocky is making a small wake with his chin.

Great Shot

This was Zeus's (4 yr old schnoodle) favorite view of the Fort. He would sit on top of the couch, with his favorite stuffed squirrel under his chin, keeping watch from lot 1616.:)

This is my latest pup, Banzai, a Miniature Australian Shepard at 5 1/2 Months.  We got him in October.

This is the TCD dog, Rocky. He is the third boxer we have owned, and the only one out of the three who enjoys swimming. I snapped this photo during a recent visit to Honeymoon Island State Park: TCD

I don't have a really good photo of him from Halloween, but you are remembering something wrong.

Rocky won Best In Show at the Fort pet costume contest last year!

It was at a different costume contest here at home that he got robbed.

AHEM..... You are not the only one with a mind like a steel trap. (though mine does get rusty every once in a while) I don't think I said Rocky was robbed AT THE FORT, it was your church that he was robbed of the title, correct?

I thought that since he was robbed at church, it was all the more reason to post his winning photos here! :raspberry2:

A thousand pardons, S70.

Here I was thinking your steel trap was getting rusty, but I was sure wrong about that!

Here's the rest of the Rocky story from last year:

And, now for the rest of the story about Rocky's victory.

Rocky hasn't always been the champ.

In fact, some thought he was washed up before he even had his chance to shine.

The week before Halloween, they had a new Fall event at our church. I believe it was called a Noah's Ark Celebration, and everyone was invited to bring their pets to be blessed, and for fun activities, including a costume contest.

We thought this would be good practice for Rocky.

So we went.

Here is a photo of how Rocky looks when he stands up in his costume:

Notice the muscles. And the "ROCKY" across the waistband.

Pretty awesome, huh?

Well, in a great injustice, Rocky came in 3rd place at the Noah's Ark Celebration.

See?:

He got beat by a little dog dressed as a unicorn, with a princess riding on his back.

And, another little dog dressed as a punk rocker.

Rocky didn't care.

But I did.

From that day we ran every morning.

And went down to the docks and punched big slabs of meat.

And drank raw eggs.

And did a lot of one-handed push-ups.

And then ran up the library steps and looked over our domain.

Rocky was determined to be the champ!

And, so when he entered the Fort Wilderness contest, the poor other dogs had no chance.

And now you know the rest of the story.

Next year, we are planning to go to a communist country and compete against their dog costume champion.

Or, maybe we will skip that and just come back to the Fort.

I'll get back to you on that.

We recently added a 3rd doggie to our family...another rescue.  This time it's a Maltipoo.  DW has always wanted one, and when the opportunity to adopt one arose we snapped her up.  She is an amazing little sweetie.

Our furbaby: Darby. She is a 3 year old yellow Lab. Got her form the Humane Society where she was picked up as a stray and had a damaged leg from abuse. We fostered her while they fixed her leg and she is as good as new now.

Our other furbaby, Fetch, whom we lost suddenly in April due to cancer we didn't even know he had. He was an 8 year old Lab mix:
