Supposedly you can use them on leather too, but I think you need to poke a small hole through first. We've never had one come off.We also like them because they have room for more lettering on them.And because they don't hang against other tags, they don't wear as quickly.Plus they're safer. We've had dogs get their tags stuck in all kinds of things - including the floor boards of our deck!We get ours online at http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Looks like the price went up a bit, but they usually are cheaper if you buy more.
