This has been quite a project. We are almost done with the painting. Just need to sand buttons and touch up. :) Yay! My husband is almost done with the globes and my daughter has been mastering her sk

I love what you did! We need a new base for our mickey lamp and we happen to have an old milk jug. I think we'll get started right away. Thanks for the creative ideas.

Thank you both! Good luck with yours, make sure to take pictures of them.

Wow...we're putting our globes together --- trying to decide on ABS or Aluminum for the post.

Wish we could find a milk jug like that around here... That looks amazing! Now, every other Mickey LIght Post will look like it's missing it's body!

Guess we'll settle for an umbrella stand for starters...

Thanks for posting the pictures of that beautiful Mickey Lamp!!!

Thanks so much. I got lucky with that milk jug, they're not easy to find anywhere, anymore.

Start with your umbrella stand for now, who knows what you'll come up with down the road.

We found several but there either cost too much or was in to ad shape. We are using a red oval shaped metal trash can we had in attic. Hubby gets credit for that idea. I think it's gonna look unique. I think a commode would look cool. The ones that the base looks like a foot on each side. Maybe I am the only one who thinks it looks that way. Will post a pic of ours when finished.

The praise goes to hubby. All I did was order everything and hold a piece occassionally. We do have a light bulb in it that changes colors. It has a remote and you can set it about 12 different ways. I got it on Amazon for about $10 and I think it had been about $80. It is really cool.
