I bought this book for my wife for her birthday. It is a pretty good reference, with some good ideas even for those of us who have camped with our dogs for many years. There is a good section on doggie first aid and cpr. You can find it on Amazon for about 16 bucks, although I got a better deal at my local RV store.

I'm actually going through our doggie first aid kit this weekend and restocking.

 

With 3 border collies that have no sense of self preservation, a well stocked kit is a must.

Mo - I definitely understand what you mean about the Border Collies.  We have 2 (1 and 11 years old).  They do not care if they are hurt, they will keep on going till you physically have to stop them.

FYI...the author of that book, Julee Meltzer, runs a great facebook group called Camping & RVing with Pets.  I've been a member for awhile now, and it's a nice group of people who share some good info :)
